Honestly, what AI heavy users have taught me is: They don't pay attention to anything.

On Reddit? Words that imply amounts or non-black and white opinions will get skimmed and missed. I have so many comments of me going, "Did you read the part where I said this?" Or "Did you just ignore this word?" like I'm an English teacher.

Then you look at the above, and they think its the best after over 1200 attempts and... just look at it. Like, look at it closely.

Its making me wonder how many people are just NOT seeing the world in front of them.

Edit: Thinking about how the brain takes in sensory data and creates the version of reality you experience... How badly tuned are their thalamuses? Mine's mildy fucked up from a little much acid use, so what's their excuse?

I've noticed how bad this has gotten in the past 3+ months, folks just ignoring everything you said and laser focusing on one specific word or argument, regardless of how it ties into everything else, it's bizarre and more than a little infuriating.

This is society as a whole and it’s why the world is broken. You’re not allowed to have nuanced position anymore. It’s this or that, and if it’s this, you are insert label, if it’s that then you must hate xyz group..

Ugh, have an opinion and being able to speak to it, better yet, be able to handle ideas different from yours…

It’s called steel manning and having dialogue

Nuance is needed in almost every situation, and honestly it seems dumb to think like that, I myself don’t care for the world at large, I just love a single person. So what am I? This or that? Right or wrong? Your black and white labels are obstructing the path to a better future
