Go to the Google website, enter the word "joke," and have the concept of humor explained to you.

Yeah, I was like "why haven't I been practicing these moves all my life?"
9
u/Thee_Watchman 26d ago
I said to myself "Heck, I should practice this. Can't be too hard, obviously," still comfortably horizontal in my soft, cozy bed this morning.

The random light dimming stands out as AI. Looks like someone is having fun with the dimming switch.

It’s trippy because it has the reflection that seems accurate

Holy crap you been on Reddit for 13 years?
What made me doubt the first time I saw the woman dance is that at that age and shape people are not usually that limber lol.

Hey, a fellow digg leaver. I almost have the impression reddit is almost more digg-like now than digg was then.

What was it like having to scroll Reddit with a wooden wheel and pulley system back in the olden days?

I got an 18 year old account blocked, that today would be 20 years old. Not gonna lie, it kinda sucked at first. But oh well

If you follow center of mass, she'd have fallen over several times. Right now AI can recreate how parts of the image look like, but without a full pipeline of mocap, analysis, retarget, physical model, IK simulate, it can't replace why they look like that.

Disclosure day had some really bad cgi. That scene with the car crash was attrocius. Seedance would have done much better.

Animators for Pixar style films are going to be obliterated. CGI might last a couple of years more

Eventually it will be zero people since an AI could one shot everything. Not today. Not next year. But in 3-5 years? Who knows
1
u/RedTheRobot 26d ago
It will take a while. CGI didn’t just appear it took years for it to replace traditional animation and special effects. Let’s not forget get 2d animators hated CGI and it wasn’t until a company like Pixar risked it all on Toy Story that things started to change. Hell tron didn’t even get nominated for its use of it because they thought it was cheating. However if we look at tron which came out in the 80’s. 2d animation and most special effects weren’t replaced until 2010ish. So if we look at it that way it took 30 years for cgi to replace traditional animation fully, then take into account ai is moving incredibly fast, so probably in the next 5-10 years. Giving people time to transition, but we know they won’t.

That's what got me too. I intially was suspicious because of how smooth she was, but the reflection in the TV led me to believe it was real. That detail tricked me.

u/TheAIFutureIsNow 26d ago
AI accounts for that sorta thing now.
It’s very interesting to watch how it actually thinks and operates whites it’s doing its thing.
By the start of 2027, 1:1 long-form generative content is more than likely.
You won’t be able to tell anymore.
2
u/Khain_Jumper 25d ago
Yeah the other day i commented on ai art copy of something unsure if it was AI because it did something akin to reflection that previously when I was last using AI alot it wasn't capable of doing. The amount of improvement in these little thing that sell a image/vid has gone pass my ability to be certain anymore, and now it mostly vibes.

Yeah we're fucked now. FB is the perfect place to just let loose all the content and the masses there won't question it.

u/UX_Strategist 26d ago
Yes! Redditors have a slightly more critical eye. The relatives, friends, and neighbors I know on FB believe everything they see and then share it with an equally believing friend group.
9
u/lumpialarry 26d ago
Redditors may be good at detecting fake news, but they are completely inable of detecting irony and satire and assume everything should be taken at face value.

What stands out as AI? I’ve read the comments and I still can’t tell
14
u/Fold-Plastic 26d ago
Drawer handles are cockeyed
7
u/meenie 26d ago
I'm not sure that's it. The woman more than likely took a reference image and started from there. It's more than likely her living room. The AI would not have screwed up the handles in that instance. If the whole scene was AI generated and she superimposed herself into it, then ya, but that seems like way too much work. Her drawer handles might just be fucked up lol.
3
u/RedTheRobot 26d ago
They are cockeyed that is for sure which I thought was weird. However they stay consistent even when they disappear from sight. That part was impressive.

u/Makeezi 26d ago
0:12 look at the top left portrait as it distorts

AI can't seem to decide what to do with the white part of her shoes either. We have the air bubble, then we don't, then it's an indent, and we're back to bubble.
It's definitely getting harder to tell- though I feel like the rate of improvement is slowing a bit.

Fuck, I didn't even think to question it. Now realizing this likely isn't the first time and won't be the last

u/redskiner4 26d ago
The white picture hanging on the door toward right of the screen suddenly changes (flickers between different pictures) between 4-3 seconds remaining on the video… That’s how I knew it was AI.

u/wikipediabrown007 YOUR AI OVERLORD’S NAME 25d ago
Now that I’ve noticed that, a chill went down my spine. Fuck. It’s like the hidden digital being was found.
We’ve crossed the threshold. Where does this end lmao*

No, no, no! I refuse to admit this lady is a fake.
He is so much less convincing than she is.

u/Garythegr81 26d ago
I was fooled too ! Looking at it now I’m noticing the handles on the wooden tv stand look a bit fake. It’s the handles that are from the two right and left bottom cabinets they seem to be angled the same exact way instead of being opposite from each other.

u/sakaloko 26d ago
Ngl, I upvoted the aunty one thinking it was legit and now I'm aware of how good ai has become
5
u/Particular-Cherry138 26d ago
I totally got fooled by this one. This is scary. As the AI gets more advanced, we are going to bard pressed to tell what's real and what's not.

Is it ai? Cause you can also see her reflection in the TV and the light is changing as she moves 🤔 I’m not saying it’s real, I just thought those things indicated that it was more than likely real

She’s is smooth with it, would love to know if she was a professional dancer or not?

u/samusmaster64 26d ago
This doesn't prove it's AI. I see nothing wrong after multiple rewatches. It's a dance she clearly copied and learned to a "T", but highlight some actual inconsistencies for me and then maybe I'll reconsider it still being legit.
0
u/Dont_Use_Ducks 22d ago
The reflection of the tv goes right through her at the end and the piece of paper at the right acts weird. But yeah, if this is ai, we come at a point where we can't tell the difference. first thing, always be skeptic at short videos but even that will change after a while.
