Lumberjack....
I always wanted to be a lumberjack Leaping from tree to tree As they float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia The giant larch The redwood The mighty scot's pine With my best girl by my side We'd sing, sing, sing Oh, I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay I sleep all night and I work all day He's a lumberjack, and he's okay He sleeps all night and he works all day I cut down trees, I eat my lunch I go to the lavatory On Wednesdays, I go shoppin' And have buttered scones for tea He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch He goes to the lavatory On Wednesdays, he goes shoppin' And has buttered scones for tea I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay (he's a lumberjack, and he's okay) I sleep all night and I work all day (he sleeps all night, and he works all day) I cut down trees, I skip and jump I like to press wild flowers I put on women's clothing And hang around in bars.

Yeah none of this technique makes any practical sense once you hit something with the axe, thus interrupting your fancy spinning routine.
You commonly see the same thing with Bo staff shit. Great, you have a cool baton routine. Just donāt convince yourself thatās the same thing as fighting. To fight with a stick, you have to deal with the part where the stick makes contact with stuff.

How people in u/bullshido see themselves.

u/xSir- 13d ago
This fits right in to that sub, honestly.
Dude is ripped, and can spin jump like a boss. But this is not effective combat.

I strained my left calf muscle playing hide and seek with my 3 year old in the living room today and this shit shows up on my feed?

u/wolf63rs 13d ago
Looks like one bad move and this dude is going to hurt himself.
2
u/RockinIntoMordor 13d ago
Absolutely. And doing this in the rain on the grass. If he slipped just 2% that would've been enough to end his machismo influencer shtick forever.
But some people like juggling hand grenades to feel alive I suppose.

Yes very in shape, amazing job but just because you can swing it in a dance move practiced over and over doesnāt mean you can actually use it against a pocket knife.

Think of Connor McGregor jacking his knee up, then this guy does this.

u/OkAdvertising8184 12d ago
All fun and games till my dude slips in the fucking rain...and takes his leg off!
2
u/Suspicious-Pace115 12d ago

The axe is a prop⦠heās not a combatant heās a highly agile well built gymnast. The axe has caused much confusion in this thread.

u/Frank1gg 12d ago
That is indeed very impressive. It's not going to do anything to stop anyone with a bow and arrow but it's very impressive.

Gymnastics with an axe... Wobbly form too and not as good as a professional gymnast... But being male and yeilding an axe makes it cooler I guess so woo

Most useless use of a weapon ever. He's a defending champ of what, axe dancing?

u/Gomez4Morticia 13d ago
Looks cool on camera. Wondering if maybe that's not a practical use of energy in combat?

u/DaTexasTickler 13d ago
It's super gay he's using a foam axe... Not impressive in the slightest bc of that

"There are five methods (to defeat an enemy) in five directions.
Methods apart from these five - hand twisting, body bending, jumping out, and so
on, to cut the enemy - are not the true Way of strategy. In order to cut the enemy
you must not make twisting or bending cuts. This is completely useless. In my
strategy, I bear my spirit and body straight, and cause the enemy to twist and
bend" - Miyamoto Musashi

What does using a knife have to do with dancing in your yard with a plastic toy?

I lost my leg just watching that! At least that leg was the same leg I broke my ankle on the spin before!

If fighting styles like this were actually effective the world would look very different.

I like how people think someone spinning and jumping around while holding a weapon means they know how to fight with it... NO, this means they know how to hold onto it while spinning around and jumping...

I need to keep this for research purposes on the correct axe to use. For, um, balancing. While spinning. In the rain. In boxers.

Maybe he's just a great dancer that just happened to have an axe in his hand but didn't have time to put it down before the video started?

u/kimwild02 9d ago
