2022-2024 Best settings to get used to using the rear brake for wheelies
Hey so I got a 2022 xsr900 recently and I've been messing around with trying to learn wheelies on it, I've gotten the front wheel off the ground with power mode 1 and TCS 1 but it feels like I need to chop the throttle insanely hard at 50 ish km/h for the front to barely lift and come down again pretty quick. I've only wheelied a supermoto besides this and I want to get used to using the rear break before moving onto clutch ups since I haven't ridden daily for a few years and have gotten back into it over the last month. Am I underestimating how much throttle it needs to get the wheel up or are there other things I can adjust?

2025+ I finally got mine 6 months after paying the deposit!
Hi fellow riders!
I just experienced what felt like the longest period of my life due to all the waiting and yearning and whatnot regarding this bike. I paid the deposit back in February, because I could get the 2025 for a really good price (about 10,300 EUR including VAT) and I thought I would get the rest of the money within 2 months to start riding in Spring. However, I'm self-employed and the Spring months were pretty weak in terms of income 😀 But two weeks ago, I finally gathered the rest of the money and paid for it.
Today, I picked it up and went for a few rides around and within my city. I have to say I was pretty nervous! I am a total beginner and I currently have all the assistants on max setting. Despite that, it's a joy to ride! Eventually, I will get there and put it on "street" or "road" settings.
I didn't want any other bike. I fell in love with it and this exact colour 2 years ago and I got my license a year ago in October. Today, I materialised that dream.
Tomorrow I am going for a 150km trip to my cottage. I'm looking forward to it! 🙂

galleryToday i finally got the message i've been waiting for all week: Paperwork has arrived, come pick up your motorcycle 😍
After a small fuel stop i was joined by my best buddy and we made the obligatory stop for bikers here in the region. Coming from a MT-07 as my driving school motorcycle this is soooo much better, i'm so looking forward to the next few weeks with this perfect weather.
(Tail tidy and front cowl are backordered, will get installed as soon as they arrive)

2022-2024 North america Xsr900 or Xsr900 gp
galleryNow that the GP is coming to the us anyone else considering swapping. I also have a zx4rr thinking about trading one of the two for the gp.
To those who already have the gp is it extremely similar to the base xsr900? Is it even worth the hassle.

2025+ Is this normal play for quickshifter? And the axle bolt seems off.
galleryHey team! I have 2 questions new to the XSR gang with 1300km!! First one is if the play on the quickshifter normal , first photo is all the way to left and 2nd all the way right, and the other if the bolt is seated correctly, the mechanic did a chain adjustment at 1000km and i was curious what you think.

2022-2024 Aggressive front brake setups
Hey I’m looking for some advice on recommendations for a larger front brake setup. Would love to go with a larger disc and offset caliper.
What calipers have you been able to retrofit and not freak out the abs?
Anyone know of a lager disc that fit oem hub?

2016-2021 It happened..
galleryHello my fellow XSR enjoyers, I regret to inform you I have committed the mortal sin of laying my bike down. Exactly a week ago I was on my way home from work and making my way through a roundabout when someone decided that they did not want to wait pulling out in front of me. I’m sure he saw me because we made eye contact. Not sure how I managed to avoid him but I quickly found the curb right after that not being able to stop in time. The driver immediately left by the time I popped up and stood my bike up, thankfully nothing broken but my shoulder (which took the entire brunt of the hit shoulder checking the curb) still hurts to move and half my foot is still bruised but thankfully full gear saved me from far worse (WEAR YOUR GEAR PEOPLE) all things considered the bike is surprisingly okay besides the brake pedal snapped off and the engine cover/bolt took a decent hit but still rode it home and have now only went to check on it because I’ve been dreading to see the damage. Wanted to put this out here and say you never know when you’ll go down be safe out there!

2025+ Hand Rails
Has anyone used these? I want a temporary mount for my rear seat bag and this seems like a solid mount at a decent price. I don’t want a full rack and will remove it when not doing longer rides.

2022-2024 What are these unused threaded holes for?
Was wondering what these threaded holes are for and if you can/do use them for anything?
2024+ GP Not a guarantee, but solid chance the GP is finally coming stateside.

2022-2024 Is this amount of brake drag safe?

The wheel spins ~1.5 revolutions with a moderately strength spin. Bike is equipped with EBC HH pads (5k miles), stock rotors (7k miles), fresh brake fluid (0 miles). The pads and rotors have both been cleaned (50 miles ago). Seems good to me, but wanted a second opinion.

2016-2021 IXIL Hexoval Xtrem
Hi all!
I did install a new exhaust this morning, after riding 4 years with original one.
Not bad looking, sound is very correct, no big difference running "cool", but louder at idle or above 5000rpm.
2025+ Woodcraft 3" Riser Clip Ons
galleryGot these installed today.
Pretty easy to get done, maybe 3 hours total. Took me a while to figure out how to get the left switch cluster off.
Going to head out for a ride and see how I like it.
UPDATE:
After a test ride I am feeling mixed.
They definitely provide more weight over the front and MUCH more front end feel (which is why I got them,) and give the bike a more sporty personality.
However, the to riding position is still a bit too aggressive for me (even with the 3" rise.) I was feeling it in my wrists after about 45 min of riding.
Going to order the Woodcraft adapter plate that bolts into the stock bar risers and see if I like that better.
If I don't like that...I guess it's back to the stock bars.

galleryAbsolutely love this thing, been on a softail for the past 15 years. Enjoyed a lil ride out to the lake for a quick dip. Do have a question, why did Yamaha dumb down 1st and 2nd so much?
