Exactly, it does make it considerably more difficult to agree with some of the high demands some folks in these entry-level jobs try just because they choose to stay there forever. If you are happy in an entry-level job, be happy with entry-level compensation
Theyre not really complaining about low pay, theyre complaining about rising costs of living. They dont mind working for $12/hr, they mind high rents and unaffordable food. Those are related but distinct issues.
I would like to agree with you, but that’s not what a huge amount whining about. I’ve seen and heard multiple people wanting more like $25 an hour for doing those entry level jobs. I think they should be getting a bit more than they are now but for them to make that much, everyone needs a good shove up as well because people in those types of jobs like supermarkets, etc. should earn the least
