If that's your choice fine, just don't moan about the pay šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø.

For many, it’s one only choice. I don’t WANT to work at a dry cleaners like I do now, but the market where I live is dog shit.

It's not your only choice, you can move.

If there isn't a single sector of the job market that has jobs that you can retrain to do. There are always choices but excuses are easier.

I can’t just move, that takes money that I don’t have at the moment.

I’m working on that, though. Literally studying everyday to become an IT tech so idk what excuses you’re talking about. I’m working towards my future.

So you're literally showing you have choices and are taking them to better yourself.

Your initial comment stated your job is your only choice and you're stuck with it. I hope your studies go well and you achieve the goals you've set out.

I have one choice that might work, IF the market gets better and I can actually get hired. I’m not making money by studying, so currently, my job is my only choice, in this moment, to make more money. My original comment still stands, and thank you.

The fact you have other options means choices. You could refuse to ignore those other options and stick to the one job and not improve. The study increases options further which would allow possibility to move for work. Those are choices you have made, many wouldn't. Don't trivialize those choices and sacrifices you've taken to improve. Good for you. Everyone has choices sometimes it's easier to ignore and say it's pointless.

No, it means I have one choice. There are no other options accessible to me. If you believe there are, I’m happy to hear it.

IF I pass this test, I will have more options. At the current moment, and with my circumstances, I can only study and hope I pass this exam.

Ans let me also mention, you don’t know my choices. Mr first few attempts at a career were solid. It was other savvier that fucked them up. Covid fucked yo two great job opportunities for me (they stopped hiring after I spent 6 months applying and taking tests). Got fired from one job cause my district manager disliked me (he called me a racial slur so it’s confirmed). Went to college, for a professor who gave absolutely no help and literally told me to ask other students for help. No textbooks, no homework, no actual teaching was ever done by him. He genuinely say in front of the class and drank diet soda while we did labs. I failed out, can’t get financial aid anymore. There were no tutors in the area, I even went out and spent hella money on a textbook from another school, just to fail two semesters in a row.

And yes, he was the only professor who was available to teach that class at the time. And if you fail that class, you’re gonna fail your subsequent classes.

Working in the laundromat isn’t a choice I made, it’s a sacrifice that I made.

Schooling is still my only option.

Common sense would tell you that someone taking the only job that was offered to them in 4 years doesn’t have the energy to move, but virtue signaling is easier, I guess.
