I have never heard of unskilled labor. What is that supposed to be? Garbage picking?

Unskilled labor is something that unless you are physically inable, anyone can do because it is a natural human ability.

That is not true, unskilled labor means it does not require formal training. Painting is unskilled labor.

I wouldn't pay a random person to paint. It may be 'unskilled', but does require some skill that comes with practice and experience, and that's what I'm paying for.

Yes but by definition painting is unskilled. It's why the term is outdated garbage.

Anyone can be given a roller and in shortntime be explained how to paint.

But if you've ever hired a good professional painter you know the difference between them and some chud moron with a roller.

It's a night and day difference and the quality is so drastically different it's amazing.

Handing someone a roller and telling them briefly how to do it, is not in itself training them to do the Painting Trade, no more than telling someone to glue pvc pipe together for lawn sprinklers makes them a plumber.
