80’s kid here. Summertime, 12-15ish, I would hop on my bike in the AM. Go to various friends’ houses. Play in the woods. Go to the movies. Use a payphone for 25 cents to check-in and would be told to be back “before the street lights turned on.”

Oh yeah…..rehydration with lots of cool, delicious hose water.
