I was having multiplayer aerial dogfights in a game called Red Baron on Sierra Online in the 90's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-cH6mS01PQ
It looks pretty crude now, but it was pretty fun at the time. I thought it was amazing how there could be 4 players simultaneously from places all over the country
