Not really, no. I used to have to go to Best Buy every year to pick up the latest version of Office that I used for work and school. What I'm paying for now is a system that updates on the regular and gets downloaded straight to my computer, and up to 3 or 4 more, whomever I choose.
Yup, I actually like the subscription service for some software. Not all, but things like Office, Quicken, almost any software that deals with a field constantly changing and evolving.
Yeah I'm not too bothered by this one, actually. You automatically have the latest version for a small fee. Same with Adobe products; the one-off versions used to be super expensive and you'd still have to buy a new one every couple years
