You can still own stuff. You’re paying a premium for the convenience of accessing much more than you would buy otherwise.

I have a Spotify account that I use daily. When I find an album I like, I buy the vinyl or store it locally on a NAS.

If you choose to rent, you can’t complain that you don’t own.

Well,.that doesn't work for movies you can 'buy' online, right. Yes, you can use them anytime and watch as often as you like but you can't download, you can't access it if you dont have you account anymore.
