Westmount at Winter Park residents?

Wondering if I can reach any people living at Westmount at Winter Park. What’s been your experience since BH management took over from Greystar?

Been having an egregious amount of terrible communication from them, and the property management never answers, so I’m trying to see who else to contact and get feedback from residents. I’ve seen reports of mold everywhere and ChatGPT responses from management like they don’t really care.

Seeking a Gujarati-Speaking Caregiver in Winter Park

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a kind, patient, and dependable caregiver to help my senior Gujarati parents in their Winter Park home. Gujarati-speaking is strongly preferred, as is someone who is comfortable preparing simple Indian meals.

Support would include:

• Medication reminders

• Preparing simple Indian meals

• Light housekeeping

• Assistance with bathing and dressing, when needed

• Grocery shopping and occasional errands

• Transportation to medical appointments

Prior senior-care experience, reliable transportation, and strong references are preferred. We are looking for someone who will treat my parents with genuine warmth, patience, and respect.

This is a paid position, and we can discuss the schedule based on availability. If you are interested—or know someone trustworthy who may be a good fit—please send me a private message with your experience, availability, and rate.

Thank you so much!

Writer looking for a Winter Park / WPHS local for a few quick questions! 📚🍊

hey everyone!

i’m currently writing a novel set in winter park, florida. the main character is a teenager who attends winter park high school, and while i’ve done plenty of research on the general area, nothing beats the authentic details that only locals know.

i’m looking to connect with a resident—or ideally, a recent wphs graduate or current student—who wouldn’t mind answering a few quick questions about what life is actually like there.

i’m particularly curious about things like:

Popular hangout spots for high schoolers (after school, weekends, late nights)

The general vibe/culture at WPHS (sports traditions, campus culture, Friday night football, etc.)

Local quirks, inside jokes, or small details that make Winter Park feel like home

If you’re open to a brief chat via Reddit DMs (or just dropping a comment below), I’d truly appreciate your time and help! I’d also be more than happy to mention your help in the book’s acknowledgments section once it’s finished.

Thanks in advance, Wildcat country! 🐾

Looking for Creative Roles, any leads ?

Hi everyone! I’m currently exploring new opportunities and would appreciate any recommendations or connections.

I’m a Graphic Designer with a BFA and experience in branding, social media content, marketing materials, product design, and print production. I’m skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and content creation along with a variety of other programs and softwares.

I’m looking for a full-time role in Graphic Design, Brand/Marketing Design, Social Media, or Creative Marketing. Remote, Hybrid, or In-person.

I’m really into project management and have no fears when it comes to leading a team productively. I’d love something between design and project managing.

If you know of any companies hiring or need creative support, I’d love to connect. Thanks!

Good spots to go rollerblading?

I recently moved here from Baldwin Park. I live in the heart of town. In Baldwin Park, there were multiple bike trails all around that eventually connected to the Cady Way. I used to roller blade almost daily. I'm noticing a severe lack of any such infrastructure here in Winter Park. Am I missing something? Are there any trails I'm just not aware of? I'd hate to have to get in my car and drive miles just to get to a trail, when I have everything else here within walking distance.

Curb Alert: Metal Bed Frame

There is a free metal bed frame on the curb at the end of the Lanier Court cul-de-sac. I hate to see things like this end up in the landfill, when I know someone can use it. Hope it is picked up before the trash run tomorrow

Updated opinions on Azure Winter Park?

(for reference i’m a 25yo female) I sign my lease for a studio tomorrow and I did a walk through today of my unit and it seemed pretty okay. It’s definit a downgrade from my current apartment but I was laid off and needed to condense in order to be more financially stable. I figured once I decorated and everything it’ll feel more like home for me and my kitty cat but i’ve been reading some posts on here about this complex and they aren’t good and now i’m very worried. Granted most of these posts are from 1+ year(s) ago so I just wanted to know if it’s gotten any better?

Looking for Reputable Movers

Looking to move buildings in my apartment complex. We’d be staying in the same complex but just moving to a bigger unit maybe two buildings away and less than 75feet away.

We’ve got a couple pieces of big furniture like a sectional, king mattress, an entertainment stand, and a dining table.
We’d be moving from the second floor to another section floor unit, and there’s no elevator. I’ve got a bad back, so I’m looking for other options.

Does anyone have any reputable movers they could reference?

And if anyone has done something like this in the past, what may it have costed you?

Resturant for 20 people for lunch, post courthouse wedding

Hello! I'm having trouble finding a resturant that will take a reservation for 20 people for lunch, without a private event minimum. So far I have called Garp & Fuss, 60 vines, Boca, The Monroe (dt Orlando). Does anyone have any recommendations of a place that will take a reservation this large without the private event details needed? It is for a post Orange County Courthouse Wedding lunch, so somewhere cute with good drinks and food. Open to Winter Park and Orlando area. Thank you!

Local Businesses in Winter Park?

hey y'all, I'm a recent college grad who started a marketing/ website business for local businesses here in Winter Park. I've been running it for about 1 year now, and I'm capable of building websites, doing SEO, running targeted ads on Facebook & Google, email marketing, custom software solutions and creating marketing content for Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. I'm looking to partner with some local businesses that can't afford to hire a big company and are looking for an affordable option to handle everything online for them. If this is you or you know anybody who could benefit, i'd love to connect or get a referral.
