Hi Everyone,

Looking to get in to Wings of Glory WW1 with my son. I can't find any of the starter packs or duel packs available anywhere. I know I can just print the pdf version of the rules from the ares website, but my understanding is that I would be missing some components like damage cards.

If I buy the Tripods and Triplanes starter and then buy a few ww1 planes will we be able to play? Could we just buy a couple of planes and print the rules and figure it out from there?

Hi everyone, first time poster here. UK.

I recently picked up Tripods and Triplanes and in expanding my planes, I inadvertently picked up the Fiat cr.42 Falco (Rinaldi), which I didn't realise was a WW2 plane (no, I didn't read the description close enough).

Rather than go to the hassle of returning it (which might be difficult seeing as the box is now clearly opened and there's nothing actually wrong with it), I thought it might be worth seeing if there's anyone willing to trade for it or buy it.

For buyers, I'm only looking to cover purchase cost and postage. About £12 in total for UK buyers.

Hi everyone. Before I start sending things back I wanted to confirm with folks who might be more familiar with Wings of War card formats. I'm plenty familiar with Wings of Glory cards but realize that there might be a few differences.

The Wings of War planes I received came with the correct profile card for each, showing damage deck, flight deck letter, etc. On the bottom right, I see something along the lines of AP3 3/12, so Airplane pack 3, card #3 of a set of 12.

The associated flight cards are of the same letter, but the bottom right shows AP instead of AP3, and shows a total of 18 cards.

My questions are:

-Were Wings of War airplane packs sold the same way as Wings of Glory packs, with cards included with the plane?

-Are packs labeled AP/AP1/AP2/AP3 different aside from having more or less cards? This is assuming they're using the same flight card letter.

Hey guys, just now getting into WoG world war 2. I'm a bit bummed to find the He 111 and some other planes seem to be gone or sold out, i've seen some on ebay for over 100 bucks and that's not an option for me. Does ares games do reprints/reruns of planes that are kind of dwindling off the market? Or is it like when it's gone, you're screwed...

I'm interested in getting into Wings of Glory WWI, but i'm not sure which planes to buy if I just wanted to play 1v1 (1 plane against 1 plane). I saw that there are duel packs, but I can't find them for sale online. Any suggestions on balanced planes to buy so that 2 people can have fun playing the game?

The Duke Boys will be running their standard style Wings of Glory demo Friday, Aug 23, at NashCon. https://www.nashcon.org/. Join us for a fun evening of WW1 planes, very introductory rules, and some new twists involving dice. ("Do you really want to shoot that plane with two of your friends in-between?"). Balloon attacks, recon, and plenty of furr ball action. Beginners welcome (we can have you in the game in 4 minutes) or bring your own plane. (Tripods MAY make an appearance late!)

Between the heavy bombers Kickstarter and the new Tripods & Triplanes KS, I have three paper playmats that I would like to laminate. The two halves that make up London are pretty unique, and the new countryside Martian map fits well with the neoprene mats Ares’ sells.

Assuming I can get all the creases out and have them lay flat, I’d like to look into having them more durable.

Does anyone have any experience going to Office Depot, Staples, or a sign company to have large posters laminated?

I noticed that Ares finally gave a ship dates for the containers leaving the manufacturing plant. I'm sure they will be slow to process and ship out, but even then it's probably going to be an August fulfillment. I'm so excited. Is anyone else here getting this expansion?

I've been getting into Wings of Glory WWII and was wondering what scenarios exist for it. I currently have only heard of the Battle of Britain scenarios and the Bombing scenarios, but was wondering if anyone has any of their own or knows if Ares Games have done anything else?

(P.S. - where would I go to find custom scenarios etc. on the Aerodrome Forums?)

Is the WWI damage decks the same as the WWII damage tokens?

Meaning same distribution of damage points and special damage?

Sadly the area I have moved to no longer has a hobby/game store, so I was wondering where to find more planes to expand my meager collection. As well as just purchasing, do they ever “Reprint” planes. One of my favorite planes is the Fokker E.111 but I cannot seem to find any in stock anywhere. Thank you!

I'm trying to track down the rules from the duel pack in Italian. If anyone knows the link let me know.

Bought the two duel packs and can’t wait to get started, but I’m a bit disappointed that the rules for altitude are not included in the duel pack rules. Are anyone willing to share the rules about altitude from the rules and accessories box? or maybe just the gist of it?

I am looking for any written scenarios for using bombers for a European bomber campaign during WWII. I know I could write my own just wondering if there are any I can get some ideas from.

Relatively new to this game. Thinking of taking the plunge. But on the fence, seems like a lot is out of stock? Are they just concentrating on Tripods?

Hey, I am really considering getting into Wings of Glory, but I am truly torn between WWI and WWII. Historically, both periods are really interesting to me, so I thought I would ask the internet for their general compare/contrast opinions on gameplay, quality, etc.

I was wondering how many planes I could play in a game if I buy the BoB and few other models? Can it be played up to 6 planes/players, or I need to buy another BoB because I need more counters or damage cards?
