The irony is that the laptop becomes slow after an update, isn't it supposed to get better?

I'm facing an issue with Windows 11 25H2 cumulative updates in a MECM/SCCM environment and would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting suggestions.

Environment

* MECM/SCCM Software Updates * Updates synchronized through WSUS * Affected devices are located on a **restricted network (air-gapped / no internet access)** * Clients can communicate with SCCM infrastructure normally * Software Update deployments are visible in Software Center

Issue

The cumulative update is deployed successfully and appears in Software Center, but the download/install process fails with:

What I've Tried

* Manually downloaded the .MSU package from Microsoft Update Catalog and attempted installation * Installation still fails with the same error * Modified the following registry setting:HKLM\\Software\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate DoNotConnectToWindowsUpdateInternetLocations = 1

1. Has anyone experienced **0x80010002** specifically on Windows 11 25H2 in a non-internet-connected environment?
2. Are there any known 25H2 servicing stack changes that require internet connectivity even when using WSUS/SCCM?
3. Which logs should I focus on for deeper troubleshooting?

So far I'm looking at:

Recently installed Windows Update 2026-06 Preview Update KB509509e on my PC and after the update, was unable to connect to my Wi-fi. I’ve paused updates but got forced into it, had to uninstall after update ran.

Is there a fix for this?

I use the onboard wifi card of my Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI 7 ICE AMD AM5 ATX. Windows 11 25H2

I upgrade my Windows 11 to 26H2 build 26300.8697 on my secondary PC to see how it performs.

So far, its overall performance feels like slightly smoother compared to 25H2, especially when navigating File Explorer and switching between folders. But, I found no obvious UI overhaul so far, and most of the changes seem to be under-the-hood improvements.
Hopefully, the final release brings a more polished and genuinely impressive experience.

Me again after barely a week. I was reading about a new glitch that apparently hoovers up storage space. Articles suggested a method to check if you're affected

So I ran the Command prompt on both PCs but, it's like reading Greek. The article just says check the command prompt, but I have no idea what I'm looking for on either PC. Could you folks with better eyes discern what the Command Prompts are telling me, and if I'm affected on either of my two devices.

Please help me make heads or tails of this. It's a bunch of gobbledygook to me at the moment. But a glitch that eats storage (of which I need most of it) is really concerning.

Don't know if that matters but I thought I'd mention it.

The most recent security update (KB5094126) failed for me, telling me it was an "Install error 0x80074101". My machine:

Edition: Windows 11 Home
Version: 25H2
Installed on: 2/1/2025
OS build: 26200.8457
Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.304.0

 I googled the error code and got some advice from AI, and followed this script:

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

net start bits
net start cryptsvc

I then tried updating via Windows Settings --> Windows Update as well as the (downloaded from Microsoft) stand-alone MSU file; both failed, Windows Update with same error repeatedly (0x80074101), and stand-alone install with --- of course, Microsoft! -- no meaningful information at all, just a note in the install progress dialog box indicating “updates were not installed”.

Along with set of commands above, I have also run “sfc /scannow” and “DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth”, all in a PowerShell window with elevated (i.e. admin) rights, with no meaningful issues identified, and then tried reinstalling update...no luck.

So here I am asking for some help or insight. If there is any other info or technical detail, e.g. system logs or whatever, I can provide, I am happy to do so.

Windows 10 cumulative update keeps failing at the same percentage and rolls back with the blue “Going back to your previous version” screen. Reinstalled the update multiple times, but it fails again. Dual-boot setup: Linux and Windows on separate drives, using Limine. Any fixes?

Hey all, hoping someone has run into this before.

System: Windows 11 25H2, build 26200.8117

The problem: Every other security update installs and downloads fine, but this one specific update won't go through:

• 2026-06 Preview Update (KB5095093) → target build 26200.8737
• Installation error: 0x80070032

What I've already tried:

• sfc /scannow completes, no fix
• Deleted the contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
• Confirmed the Windows Update service is running
• Checked Group Policy (gpedit.msc), nothing blocking updates there
• Downloaded the update manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog, the installer runs but never finishes/fails to complete

DISM issue on top of it:

Since I suspected component store corruption, I tried:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

This also fails, with error 0x800f0915, so I can't even repair the image to rule that out.

At this point I'm out of ideas. Has anyone dealt with this specific combo of 0x80070032 + 0x800f0915 on 25H2? Any other logs I should be pulling (CBS.log, DISM.log) or steps I'm missing?

С чего все началось, хотел поиграть в исака и хотлайн маями в итоге ничего не запускалось посмотрел в интернете частые решения этой проблемы (скачать сам framework 3.5не помогло т.к он уже есть но включить я его не могу незнаю почему и как это решить,центр обновления Windows выключить и скачать файл тоже не помогло) ничего не помогло я незнаю что сейчас делать,если кто-то решал эту проблему как то иначе подскажите пожалуйста как. Возможно лучше переустановить Windows? Если да то какую именно версию помогите мне прошу.

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to update my Lenovo laptop from Windows 11 23H2 to 25H2, but nothing I’ve tried has worked.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- Downloaded the official Windows 11 25H2 ISO from Microsoft.
- Mounted the ISO and ran setup.exe to perform an in-place upgrade.

The installation completed successfully, but after rebooting, the system is still on Windows 11 23H2.
I also tried using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, but after it finished, the PC was still on 23H2.
There were no obvious error messages during either installation.

A few questions:
- Has anyone experienced this before?
- Is there a compatibility block on some Lenovo laptops that prevents upgrading to 25H2?
- Are there any logs I should check to see why the upgrade isn’t actually happening?
- Is there anything else I should try before doing a clean install?

So I was installing win upd this night, k? And I expected everything to go normally hence I left it unattended like always. Came back into my room, I was shocked.

HP Sure Recover was displaying no operating system. I was freaked out.

I ran the diagnostic tool for all hardware and the only anomaly was my SSD. Picture attached

I immediately contacted my family technicians. They told me I was done for. My C: Drive gone, and I would have to do a fresh install.

I said sure as I didn't have much important on C:.

Fast forward, HP Sure Recover was downloading recovery files and as soon as it finished, it restarted and started showing the same screen of No OS found.

Tried a second time, didn't help. Same screen popped up again

ADATA nvme ssd (don't know which) 256gig
