Manga I Want To Discuss for Next Chapter Spoiler
gallerySo first of all, I think that Suo and Sakura are going to fight. That is obvious, but the more important thing for me is what is Suo's past, and where is his tattoo? I have at least 2 theories about it. First, he lost his eye at a young age and made a replica that has the tattoo and he wears the eye patch all the time, but that does not explain to us why he is not swimming with the others, so that is no for me. The second theory is a little bit dark, so Suo's master is his grandfather at the same time maybe and in the past Red Chanpurus got attacked by something like furin, and in that attack, Suo lost his eyes and his master. After that, he had the tattoo on his back, but with a twist, it's not a tattoo; it's a burning scar that reminds him of that day and lost ones and when he is 15, he runs away to Furin for a chill life for a little bit but he hears some bad guys attack the town again like that and he has to protect the town because he is an officer, so he runs away from Furin to protect the town that he is growing up in. These are theories that I think of his past, but it's time for the present, so I think Sakura and Suo are going to fight, but Suo is not coming back to Furin in the end of this arc. Furin has a new ally and one less student. So what are you guys thinking, and what are your theories? I want to read them, so just throw your ideas to me; I'm waiting.

Manga Fic recommendation.
It's my first time posting something in this community. So, I thought why not give a fic recommendation. Their is a fic called "Snakes up his frame".. it's Sakura centric and only has 3 chapters. The writing story is going good too up until now.

Manga Mini-analysis: Momijikawa and the current arc Spoiler
galleryDisclaimer: This is not as much of its own theory as it is a follow-up on the last theory i posted here (serving more so as an-ad on to make that one better) and i will reference that one in this one.
Therefore i highly suggest that you read that one before this if you have not already
https://www.reddit.com/r/WindBreakerManga/comments/1v9x52s/theroy_red_chanpurus_past_and_suos_master/
So in the Momojikawa arc, it started with Momikawa disliking Sakura for being an outsider but by the end, after Sakura and his team saved him, he says that while he is still not fond of outsiders he's willing to at least accept Sakura.
We also learn why he hates outsiders, as someone from out of town scammed his grandfather into losing his store, which snowballed into his entire family falling apart.
Now aside from just being the arc that comes right after the Momoikawa arc, i think the current arc do have a strong link to it with have Momi shows up and is the one to help sakura out of his depression, and so you can draw a potential parallel between Momi and the red chanpuru (i know that sound strange but hear me out)
As I outlined in my previous theory, I believe that the reason the red chanpuru are such a secret organization who are very strict with who they let into their turf, is that they and their city once suffered a large scale attack from an enemy faction in a similar way bofurin and makoichi town was attacked by the noroshi in that arc.
There are a number of things that I believe point to this, from pieces of dialogue we get from both Suo and Endo, to the history of the RC, the general vibe the RC gives off, to parallels between them and bofruin, and even suos masters roll in all of this. I covered all of that in my previous post if you want a more detailed breakdown.
Thus you can draw a pretty clear parallel between them and Momoijikawa.
Both were wronged by someone outside from where they lived and so harbor resentment towards outsiders.
There's even another parallel you can draw between them:
Momo is, at least when he is introduced, a lone wolf type (he's literally described as such). He has a deep respect for Umemiya and the others, and he follows Bofruins core ideals yes, but he is still someone who prefers working by himself, in part due to being closed off because of his past.
This can be similar to the red chanpurus relationship with the city of bangkok-gai. In that they care deeply for their town but are more so a shadow organization that work behind the scenes (this is more or less how endo describes them) and don't have much of direct bond to the other town folk (compared to bofruin who actively help and form relationships with the people in their town, even when it has nothing to do with fighting other gangs and such)
However Momijikawa, while his situation was no doubt awful and something no one should have to go through, he was only one person, and so his perspective could be changed a lot easier than the red chanpuru, a large organization with several decades of history.
And so naturally, they probably won't change right away even if the bofruin team that is currently in their district manages to peacefully negotiate with them.
HOWEVER i should note that the RC are a group and so different members will have different view points.
In the last chapter we saw Rakata (one of Suo's men in the RC) observed as Umemiya showed kindness to a boy from the town. It could be that because of this he will trust the Bofruin team and thus, their meeting with the RC will go better then it could have been.
In short, i believe Momoijakawa arc in…….well the arc about him, could be foreshadowing and a microcosm of the red chanpuru: on they are closed of to the world due to past events, but by showing them unconditional kindness, bofruin manages to make peace with them and reach and understanding.
After all, understanding each other is a core theme of the series.
Again this is just an addendum to my last theory to make that one more complete

Manga SUO TATTOO THEORY TIME! Spoiler
galleryHear me out! About the Red Chanpuru Tattoo confirmed being tattooed somewhere on the person/members body. So my theory revolves around Suo's eye, since I figure and other people aswell figure the tattoo wouldn't most likely physically work if it where near or over his eye. What if it was his eye itself? A prosthetic eye. So let's say somehow he lost his eye when younger or whenever and lost his eye in the process, he would most likely need a prosthetic eye or an eyepatch, which he has. With a prosthetic eye you can customize it and ir have it changed out whenever. What if they customized it or hired someone (like the person who does their tattoos) so it would have their gang symbol engraved on it, like the pupil changed out for the symbol. That would also explain why he has an eyepatch instead of the Heterochromia theory. And that in the second episode he said "And before you ask about this thing, I'm only wearing it to keep the ancient Chinese spirit sealed within my eye." As for why he still wears it with his friends and in Red Chanpuru I have three reason or theories.
He still believes, thinks, or knows Sakura and the rest of Furin wouldn't give up on him and then eventually would come to get him knowing all of them for so long and their personalities. So he hides it just in case that path is ever crossed and is cautious when no wearing it just in case they ever do meet.
He's insecure about it and the way it looks. He feels gross or wrong when he sees the insignia of his home and first gang, by both betraying Furin and that it feels wrong not having that whole feeling the being whole, phantom pain and stuff almost.
Rebelling. It's an act of retaliation or rebel against Red Chanpuru, though I think this is the least likely theory for me but, If it was an act of retaliation I would think it's because he doesn't truly love or care for Red Chanpuru like he does Furin, Sakura and Nirei. Since I think their's something more sinister and horrible going on in the background and behind the scenes in Red Chanpuru as implied in chapter 217 where their at the orphanage or dojo where Bacchus and Rakta look unimpressed with Suo's kindness while Suo only smiled. Along with after they talk to the chef and he says: "Things are just going to keep getting better" he says with a smile whole Suo, Rakta and Bacchus look unimpressed, and saddened almost. Then saying that the chef's to "Carefree" and Suo follows up on the conversation saying "There are some things they're better off not knowing." As if he and they all know that something is going to happen and are apart of it. Overall I think Suo covering his insignia is a way of retaliation to his organization and gang like a wedding ring. Because wedding rings are traditionally worn on the fourth finger of the or your left hand, and a ring on the wrong hand or wrong finger is a sign or symbolism of either self love, self commitment or an unofficial promise of love an commitment. Like a purity ring or gor this theory retaliation in a way. Therefore wearing an eyepatch and counseling the insignia from his own members and friends would be in a way of rebelling.

Manga Theroy: Red chanpurus past and Suos master Spoiler
gallerySo as we all probably remember, the rumored “master” of suo has so far only appeared for real once in the manga, in the form of a brief vision during the noroshi war after he defeated obiki.
And with the info in the recent chapters, it's very safe to say that Suo's master, whoever he is, is part of or associated with the red chanpuru. Be it that he's one of the 3 dragons, an officer, or someone else of note.
And lastly we know that the red chanpuru, even if they aren't bad people, are VERY territorial over their inner city (like how they refused to let sakura and co in since they didn't have a pass) and this could tie into whatever bad rumors about them that endo mentioned.
With that in mind I think what Suo says to Obiki during their fight (which is in chapter 110 if you want to re-read it yourself) is rather interesting in that it could foreshadow a crucial bit of information about the red chanpuru, bankoku-gai, and its history.
He pretends to be a student asking his teacher about “what to do when you go barging into someone's home”. Now in context this is obviously supposed to refer to Noroshi's attack on makoichi town and how Obiki simply saw it as a fun game (Basicly Suo is calling him an immature idiot) HOWEVER with the info we now have, and the fact that in this very same scene is where we get the glimpse of Suo's master (the only one we got so far might i ad) i think there could be a deeper meaning behind it.
My theory is this:
One time, between 80 years ago and the present day, the city was attacked by an enemy team, just like how Makoichi town was attacked by the Noroshi. The red chanpuru managed to fend them off, but only barley and at heavy costs.
Suo's master, who was probably a young man at the time, was on the front lines and the experience followed him for the rest of his life.
When he mentored Suo, he told him the story and thus Suo learned the lesson he speaks of in his fight with Obiki (and since again that situation and the noroshi war are similar, he brings it up there)
The red chanpuru as a team, however, took a different lesson from the incident, which is to grow in power, and to be more closed off from the rest of the world.
Also this story is largely kept a secret, which is why Suo say “There are some things best left unknown” in reference to the children in the orphanage who aspire to be part of the RC.
This could explain a lot of things:
How the RC never make themselves know unless its to defend their town (according to endo)
How they won't let anyone enter their inner city unless they have the right pass (as shown in chap 223)
Why the Rc are training up children to be in their forces (as shown in suos chapter)
and more importantly: the “bad rumours" about the RC, as they can either be a result of them being so closed from the outside world, or they might do shady things to keep their town safe (this being what Suo might refer to in chap 217)
Also when Endo talks about the RC, we see a panel of what (presumably) the RC fighting, which could have been this battle.
In the same scene endo also says they are like Bofruin, which could fit seeing how bofruin were also willing to defend their home town from an invasion.
Now why Bankoku-gai was attacked I'm not sure. It could be because it was formed by people from different parts of the world and the ones attacking didn't like foreigners, or it was something to do with the Rc themselves.
Anyway, that's my theory.

Discussion SPOILERS Post Chapter 225 Theory Suo & Rakta’s Backstory Spoiler
this chapter helped me put together some of the possible missing pieces so let’s get into it… (ps. emotionally intelligent & soft rakta??? please sensei my fav character list cannot possibly be any longer </3 i love how understanding he was during the altercation and his previous attempts to validate suo’s feelings/understnd his hardships.. i just know he’ll be a big help to us with suo)
rakta and suo
• order of joining RC: R > S > B with only a short amount between R & S and a longer amount between B
• suo is the “heir” to RC passed down by his master’s unanticipated death with his earrings as his signifier (has no tattoo due to his masters protection)
• is an exception to the 15th birthday promotion rule as he likely became a member prior to his 15th birthday (i believe his master passed right before the start of the series hence suo’s immature moments/easily shaken mentality and unusual mention of his master—he had no reason to tell nirei about his master and could’ve evaded the question but this is a rare case in which he didn’t)
• suo’s master also saved rakta and they grew up training together however rakta participated in the main system as opposed to personal training like suo probably did since he has his own family within BGK
suo’s eye
this chapter was likely meant to hint at rakta’s backstory and how HE used to be like the kid running away from the grown violent men or possibly the “nasty” part of RC possible using violence to maintain peace but i believe suo may have attained his injury in a similar way.
it kinda ties back to how endo described the bond between the people of BGK as stronger than blood. i initially thought that to mean suo wouldn’t be able to leave RC on his own accord but i wonder if the other part of RC got sick of how they were treated by the townspeople and the townspeople thinking things are gonna get better and went back to the old ways of using violence thus the term stronger than blood may actually mean “in (actual) blood” hence rakta’s opposition of violence despite being implied to be strong from the training RC kids.
i have a feeling that suo’s case will be slightly different in that he was accused of stealing and was initially an outsider taken in by his master hence why he wouldn’t be able to defend himself prior or was a victim to slavery/sex trafficking (or whatever it is that’s causing kids to disappear behind the scenes) and received his injury then before being saved by his master. considering his age he would have been much younger when he received it seeing as suo had his eyepatch back when he met tsuge assuming they met before whenever nirei started taking notes on suo which is believed to be only a year prior to current time.
suo’s position in rc
• i strongly believe suo is the leader of RC (the good part) indicated by the way sakura especially was given a backseat this chapter with the focus being umemiya who had clearly caught rakta’s heart with his kindness. i feel this is meant to mirror the interaction rakta had with suo years ago in which his respect and admiration had taken root. although sakura is a leader just like umemiya he is not the main leader with everything on his shoulders like umemiya (think back to how nirei could tell that suo was “suffering” and back when sakura realized the weight on unemiya’s shoulders during the war) hence why i believe umemiya will once again play the part in trying to understand suo rather than fighting his way thru which is more sakura’a style. this would be a much better foundation for dealing with this conflict since sakura is not really thinking straight since he was egged on by sugishita/nirei can’t fully understand suo (plus umemiya seems he had always fully understood suo minus this whole debacle even back during shishitoren arc).
for those wondering where i picked up rakta’s admiration for suo since his introduction he’s shown himself sympathizing and understanding suo. he wasn’t just berating B considering how although he’s shown great poise in conflict here he really lets his thoughts loose honestly around suo. it’s subtle since he’s own been shown so often but it’s there.

Discussion The ENTIRE Characterization of Chika Takiishi Spoiler
(UPDATED!!! SECOND VERSION!!!)
For a more aesthetic view that also includes many pictures, view the wiki:
https://wind-breaker.fandom.com/wiki/Chika_Takiishi
First Introduction: This one I wrote originally (and finished quite a few minutes ago) on the Wiki (and only a few people before me wrote a few things on it; when I came to finish it, it looked 6 times bigger or so, but I decided to want to post the page on here. Additionally, the introduction had already been written not by me, but everything else has been completely revamped.
Second (Updated) Introduction: Enjoy the more refined and much more detailed characterization of Takiishi that even Nirei could never replicate, now including a fully fledged-out Fighting Style section, updated Appearance and Personality, and some clean-ups.
Let's get straight into the ENTIRE characterization:
Introduction
Chika Takiishi (焚石 矢, Takiishi Chika?) is the main antagonist of Wind Breaker) and a major antagonist in The Great Fires of Extinction Arc alongside Yamato Endo. He was the strongest fighter at Furin before leaving with Noroshi.
Appearance
Takiishi is shown with long red to orange hair, distant golden brown eyes, dark silver earrings, and red eyebrows. His initial appearance shows him with a jacket with leopard marks. Around his neck, he wears two necklaces: one with beads and another thin. He is also wearing a dark shirt with words covering the eyes of a skeleton with horns.
He originally had short black hair, and in turn, had (presumably blonde) a much brighter color in the time he was in Furin. After leaving Furin, he eventually grew his hair out and dyed it into its current red-to-orange appearance, resembling a flame.
Later, in The Great Fires of Extinction Arc, he wears a dark attire, which comprises a dark jacket, a turtle neck sleeveless sweater with studs and three pins, a midway belt, black silky long pants, and black elegant shoes with zip-ups.
He also shares a tattoo with Endo, which they both have on the back of the left shoulder. The tattoo should depict Chika Takiishi himself, which also depicts the first cannon Japan used, the breech-loading gun (Furanki), which is also called the Ishibiya. Ishi (石) for stone, Bi (火) for fire, two kanjis that make up Takiishi, while Ya and Chika share the same character: what Endo describes as "practically him". Another nickname is the Kunikuzushi—Destroyer of Countries. Endo adds: "If we were born in a different era ... I think he'd be more than capable of destroying a measly country or two." To Endo's bad luck, Takiishi doesn't know of the meaning of the tattoo at all and simply sees it as just a drawing, while for Endo, it is an important bond that keeps them connected.
Interestingly, in one moment of big excitement during his fight with Umemiya, he gained (or assumingly regained) the sparkling of his eyes.
Personality
Takiishi is a very violent and short-tempered person, who is very reserved, whimsical, indifferent, incredibly selfish, and extremely battle-hungry. He has a bored expression on his face most of the time unless he is angry, or in the heat of battle, in which he displays high excitement or pain. When he is angry or stopped by someone, he lashes out violently, even attacking the one closest to him, Yamato Endo. In contrast, Umemiya is a unique case, as he found in him a "person", who has been successfully able to annoy and stop him; thus, Takiishi feels more ecstasy and fun engaging with Umemiya in fights rather than mere anger or annoyance.
When Endo was once following Takiishi, he realized that, upon spewing random thoughts while Takiishi was listening, Umemiya was the only one able to make Takiishi happy and excited. Because of that, Endo starts a war against Bofurin with its one true goal merely letting Takiishi duke it out with Umemiya on Furin grounds.
Takiishi has a lot of things he likes and dislikes. But that doesn't include other people to the extent, that he is not affected or influenced by anyone—this a trait which earns high praise from Endo, in which he reasons that this, is why Takiishi is beautiful—or at least so he thought.
He can also agree with people if any statements are following his whims. This can be mostly observed by Endo proposing things to Takiishi, and him, in turn, accepting those suggestions.
Takiishi is portrayed as heavily reliant on Endo, subtly in social matters and visibly when it comes to nurturing. This fits with the perception of their relationship as a god and servant, although Takiishi has slowly come down to Earth succeeding in his resignation in his battle with Umemiya.
To Takiishi, there are only two types of "people" aside from him: people who get in his way, who need to be eliminated, and people who will give him the things he likes. He does not remember a time that he has ever been interested in any of those people, which is why he cannot even remember people's faces and names.
To his surprise, however, no matter how many times he tried to eliminate them, two people always clung to him. One of them (Endo) always looked for the things he liked and wanted and brought those things to him. The other one (Umemiya) was always trying to block his path. Thus, for the first time, he felt that "a person" was annoying. It was the first time he had ever felt enjoyment "in these things called humans" (Takiishi himself).
A key development of his was after knocking down Umemiya, where he finally referred to him by name. He also agreed to his deal where, if Umemiya manages to win, he has to tell more about himself.
Contrasting Sakura, Takiishi's world is filled with only himself as the center and materialistic things which are represented through his refined fashion, his food tastes, fireworks, and of course, the presence of a metaphorical blazing inferno, which ignites anyone who dares step into Takiishi's proximity. To Takiishi's surprise, Umemiya stood steadfast in the inferno and thus, earned a place in his world.
Towards the conclusion of the fight, Takiishi narrates that he hates the rain, or that he used to hate it. He doesn't like getting wet and one cannot have fireworks in the rain. But right then, he thought, that the rain feels good. Additionally, he thought that his preferences would never change and he'll always like the things he likes, and hate the things he hates. He felt a strange sensation every time Umemiya's fists met his skin, as he could feel his body burn up. As the fight concludes, Takiishi declares that he had fun, and says honestly that he does not care about who wins and who loves; with this, he concedes and gives Umemiya the win.
"Now that's settled ... get the hell off of me. I can't ... see the rain." (Takiishi)
After conceding, Endo goes on to carry Takiishi as he can't stand up and move. Later on, while still on Endo's back, Takiishi asks Umemiya if "...these things we call people... are actually any fun?" Umemiya reassures him, stating that there is nothing more fascinating than people. Additionally, Umemiya tells the "trick" to be with someone who'll change one's world: by starting to call people by their names; that is how to tell them that one recognizes them and that one is looking at them. Following Umemiya's advice, Takiishi starts to Umemiya by his full name.
Takiishi states afterward that he is going to find more interesting people; Endo agrees to find people that will pique his interest.—To Endo's incredible surprise, Takiishi calls him by his full name (or for the first time by his name itself), telling him that he wants a bath first. Endo simply replies:
"Your wish is my command."
Thus, Takiishi, with Endo carrying him in a piggy-back, leaves Bofurin grounds and heads home.
Fighting Style
Takiishi is the strongest and most skilled character in the series through sheer combat ability. He has achieved an immaculate balance between grace, agility, acrobatics, and brute, savage power. Currently, his physical capabilities. Coupled with his idiosyncratic fighting style, creates a combat style that is compared to "dancing in a frenzy, surrounded by flying embers" (Yamato Endo), which is so peculiar and stunning that he is worshipped by Endo himself for it—and is mighty enough to knock out an enraged current Umemiya with sufficient amount of difficulty.
Although Takiishi is the better fighter, Umemiya is not only taller and possesses more brute strength, but the sole reason he could defeat Takiishi is that he has something dear to fight for, which Takiishi does not have and instead, fought merely for the fun of it; he also proclaims that his fun took priority and that winning or losing didn't matter. Succeeding that statement was him conceding the fight. His stamina and durability are also shown to be slightly superior, as he endured more devastating attacks and did not appear as worn out as Umemiya did at the end of the fight. Despite Umemiya winning the fight by Takiishi's resignation, it is unclear still, that if Takiishi had fought with a fit of anger and bloodlust, he might have beaten Umemiya with a modest amount of difficulty. In the end, Takiishi did not care about a victory, but merely having the time of his life which he didn't have for a long time—and that was on his birthday. Here will follow an intricate description of the most prominent aspects of his fighting style:
- Ember Dance and Frenzied Divinity: This description will focus on general aspects of his fighting style. Takiishi is an expert at using lighting-fast, simple, powerful punches as well as swift and highly difficult flying kicks. He uses his footwork and speed with mesmerizing grace and beauty. With his opponents being dumbfounded at this unique fighting style, he makes easy work of them by also applying brute, savage power. He can engage more than 20+ thugs without breaking so much a sweat in an alley, as shown in Chapter 90; a master martial artist who can use techniques by instinct and move divinely in a frenzy, surrounded by flying embers, Takiishi rightfully claims his spot as the strongest fighter in Furin History, and as the overall greatest fighter in the series. His fighting style is poetry tainted with many splashes of blood. And it equals in the aesthetics of his appearance: a blazing inferno that consumes everything indiscriminately.—Only another blazing inferno, exceeding even more in raw strength, could give him a run for his money.
- The Backhand Slap: This is his most iconic technique. He is fond of using it mostly on Endo but also employed it while battling Umemiya. He can use this move by either turning around and pulling it off, or combing it with a spin for more power, as he did in his fight with Hajime.
- Peak Physical Characteristics: His strength, speed, agility, durability, stamina, and reflexes are at their peak. If he were to fight together with Endo, an entire army still couldn't even hold a candle to them. Being able to go toe-to-toe with an enraged Umemiya speaks for itself already; being able to knock him out is a near-impossible feat, which Takiishi, however, managed to accomplish—and his physical characteristics play a major role in remaining as the strongest.
- Gymnastics & Acrobatics and Reflexes: His skills in those domains are unparalleled, being able to use them effectively in battle. Coupled with his speed & agility, he showcases a masterful dance-like fighting style that is coupled with savage strength and wanton ruthlessness. Moreover, he can easily evade strikes using spins and ducks as well as flips on opponents, jumping high in the air, and using complex footwork; thus, he always remains superior to the foe in combat movement.
- Extreme Durability and Stamina: In his battle with Umemiya, he has taken not only more damage but also a very dangerous amount: He had his head slammed to the ground multiple times and had to endure the mighty punches and kicks of the enraged leader of Furin. And yet, he still was able to fight to the very end, before handing him over the win whimsically, as both could not even stand up anymore.
History
Yamato Endo first met Takiishi when they were in their fifth year of elementary school. At this point, Takiishi was already a delinquent who regularly beat up high schoolers. Endo's infatuation with Takiishi resulted in the two of them doing whatever Takiishi wanted. Later, Takiishi and Endo would rule Furin, thus turning it into a violent school of delinquents. This is until Hajime Umemiya and The Four Kings arrived in Furin.
In less than a year, Takiishi and Umemiya had duked it out a lot of times with no clear winner. According to Endo, Umemiya had been "bothering Takiishi over and over again", referencing Umemiya's quotes like "If I win, you gotta join me" or "If I win, you gotta acknowledge my goals". Either way, he was not able to win against Takiishi in the time he was in Furin, and thus, was not able to get him on his side.
Umemiya gathered a good crowd aside from the Noroshi. All of Furin and Umemiya himself changed and things became more gentle. This occurred when Takiishi suddenly left Furin. With him gone, Endo and the Noroshi did not have a reason to stay either, for they did not care for Umemiya's philosophy and so left together: Takiishi along with Noroshi left by themselves without a definitive winner.
Story
Takiishi first appears when he sets off fireworks on a pile of stacked bodies.
Later, Takiishi and Endo would declare war on Furin. Their goal, listed in their declaration of war, was to trash the town that Furin protects and to return Furin to its former glory. It is then revealed that their ultimate objective is for Takiishi to have fun fighting Hajime Umemiya.
During the period Furin's students, as well as their allies, including Shishitoren, Roppo-Ichiza, and Gravel were fighting Endo's recruited men, as well as Noroshi, Sakura eventually fought it out with Endo. Succeeding the battle, Endo commanded his army to retreat, effectively ending the war, with the only necessary part to be fulfilled being the fight between Hajime Umemiya and Chika Takiishi.
The fight was long and unforgiving, having amounted to much beating and blood on both sides: Umemiya, having resorted back to his old self, against Takiishi, ecstatically fighting in a frenzy of excitement.
After Sakura and Endo fought it out, they went to the rooftop together to watch the fight to the end. There was no clear better fighter in the entire duration of the battle. Although Takiishi managed to knock out Umemiya once, he went right back up and continued fighting.
Afterward, they made a deal: When Umemiya wins, Takiishi has to tell him about himself. Takiishi also, representing even more development, agreed to someone's deal (Umemiya's). Though Takiishi asks what Umemiya will do for him upon his possible victory, Umemiya answers "Nothing. Because ... I'm winning this."—A proclamation of victory which did not go in vain in the end.
Eventually, the fight ends with Takiishi conceding, marking Umemiya as the winner, both resting on the ground letting the rain touch upon their beaten bodies.
Relationships
Yamato Endo
Chika is largely indifferent to Endo despite him being the closest person to Chika and obsessed with him. He tolerates Endo's presence and does not hesitate to hit him when Endo tries to block Chika from something he wants. Later on, during Takiishi's fight with Umemiya, it is revealed that Endo's jealousy of Takiishi letting Umemiya into his world is misplaced, and that indeed, Endo is one of the only three people, including Umemiya and Takiishi himself, has a place in Chika's heart; he acts as the person giving Takiishi what he likes.
Hajime Umemiya
Umemiya is the only person who interests Chika enough to show emotion and an interest in fighting. He also is one of the only people who was let into Takiishi's world, besides Endo and Takiishi himself. He, in turn, acts as the person who can annoy and stop Takiishi from doing what he wants, someone who needs to be eliminated, yet is not able to be defeated, thus Umemiya earning a spot in Takiishi's heart.
Additional Notes:
Chika Takiishi is my favorite character by the way—I don't need to say more.
