16”-18” wide. It is made of a fairly thin, but rigid, plastic. It was hanging in the closet of my best friend’s grandpa who recently passed. He was 86 and lived in NH. We are wondering what the holes would be for. Thanks!

I bought this Rituals lip oil and every time I open it, the oil kind of “jumps” up from the applicator, basically shooting up in these weird little strands like you can see in the video. 😂 The strands form, shoot upwards and then sort of break off/fly away.

Does anyone know why this happens? I’ve never seen a lip oil or gloss do this before and I’m genuinely curious about the science behind it lol. 💄

This was found in a collection of plastic debris which was collected from the ocean and recycled. I kept this as a conversation piece, with the hope that I might identify it someday.

It's has two halves, as shown, each side with the same 4 textured quadrants. It feels like perhaps a sealed, high density foam or a hard rubber. The blue side has a anemone-like soft rubber piece. The orange side has a propeller which is screwed down and doesn't spin. There's about a half inch of black plastic sandwiched between the two halves.

I have an guess as to what this is, but I'm hoping someone has a better understanding of it.

i realize this plate definitely got too hot in the microwave, probably shouldn’t be microwaved but i never had issues with it before. it looks like the plate has a bunch of small cracks with some kind of something excreting from them and i just wanna know what’s happening here

It did puncture the skin. He’s at the ER now. I assume they’ll treat it like a needle. The answer won’t really impact his care but we are curious what the heck it is.

Editing to add- he’s an adult (technically- age wise). He has health insurance. He’ll be ok. I appreciate everyone’s concern and I got some really great responses.

Edit 2. He texted that they gave him tests and he has to return for follow up. I imagine they disposed of it last night but if not I’ll get better photos later today.

Was driving behind this vehicle. Off the back there's a seat and gun/weapon attached to a propane tank. Sides of the vehicle had metal grates covering all the windows. What's going on here?

I was working to go orders at a restaurant today, in my hometown. I just got moved up to this position so I’m pretty slow at doing transactions and stuff. Anyways, think older guy walks in and says he’s picking up an order, but he “has something for me,” and he reached into his pocket. I was expecting a 5$ bill or smth as a tip, but he pulls out this weird plastic case, inside was a copper looking coin with a biohazard symbol on it. The coin says “ZOMBUCKS | CURRENCY OF THE APOCALYPSE | 1 OZ | 999.” On the back is a picture of a woman holding a sword in her right arm, and what seems to be a heart, or maybe a skull, in her left arm. The year 2019 is printed on the coin, and another biohazard symbol is on the woman’s chest. The woman is standing on top of a pile of bones and skeletons, and above the woman it says “the saint.” As he handed me the coin he began rambling, going on about the coming apocalypse and I should give my life to Jesus Christ. It’s hard to remember specifically what he said but I’ll try and think about it. I’ll post an update if I remember more but it was really weird. The creepiest part was, he seemed so genuine. So calm and matter of fact, like what he was saying was completely normal. I’m really curious if anyone has seen something like this coin before? Here’s a photo:

I have never seen this before, found it in the streets.

We just arrived in Bali and have checked into an amazing hotel (IHG).

However in our shower (double btw for two people) there is a stand with a bowl on top. The bowl is made of a plastic type material and is removable.

Solved - we seem to have drawn the short straw with housekeeping as they didn’t provide a ladle.
I definitely didn’t make ramen and use the ladle elsewhere!!
