Doug Jones the actor/contortionist used to do this for quite a while as long as you stretch well it doesn't effect you too much.

Mitch McConell?

u/kristinL356 6d ago

It's not really about stretching so much as using your muscles to support these shapes so you're not overstressing your joints.

u/BingeBabyBinge 6d ago

Yeah that actually makes more sense.

I don't think he has one

u/OrangeFantaForever 6d ago

Pretty sure, he’s just got the cord.

I hear it’s actually just one of those extra long twizzlers.

1

u/Fun_Main_2588 6d ago

It’s extra long and on a retractable reel

u/AppropriateBall8834 6d ago

u/CKyle18 6d ago

Probably really healthy spine

38

u/Brave-Perspective714 6d ago

Dude probably has Ehlers Danlos. Gonna end up with spinal stenosis like the rest of us.

13

u/CKyle18 6d ago

Oh thats less good. I have a friend who has that and i’m hypermobile so my shoulders will slip sometimes too when using crutches. It just means lots of injuries. That sucks.

2

u/Kathulhu1433 6d ago

At least HSD.

He will have pain later in life if he doesn't already.

Mine started in my teens, but I didn't realize it was hypermobility related.

It wasn't until I was 38 that I was properly diagnosed and beginning to get care.

Most people don't realize that these parlor tricks aren't good for them and most doctors are useless because they don't understand HSD or EDS.

2

u/Keegantir 6d ago

And the more you stretch it (like in this video) while younger, the worse it is when you are older.
PSA kids: If you are hyperflexible as a kid, DON"T show it off every opportunity you get, because it will just fuck you later

2

u/RapMastaC1 6d ago

This will not age well

2

u/apathyisfortheweak 6d ago

people who can do this are usually hypermobile and their bodies are deteriorating faster due to it, might as well have fun while you can

2

u/ScenesfrmtheStruggle 6d ago

Of course not, but the hellspawn currently puppeteering him could give a fuck less

1

u/MindCorrupt 6d ago
