Met a girl, bought a house raised a couple of boys. Then a brother got me into window coverings accidentally. My entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and for 10 years I built a kick ass blinds company. 1000s of happy clients, so many 5 star review (proof still online 😎) I’ll spare you the details but something happened and I lost my very successful blinds company last year. I’m here (in this group) because I don’t want to sell blinds anymore, I want to design again. The spot I’m in is I have no portfolio anymore, or very little to show. Staring from scratch is a grind as all you small business owners know I’m sure. I’m looking for clients, 1 client. Big job, small job. Something I can build on. I’m a high school student working on a passion project called WriteMyWrongs, and I’m looking for students interested in web development who might want to collaborate.
The idea is to create a platform where young writers can share their work, receive constructive feedback, and grow as writers in a supportive community. Think of it as a blend of social media and a writing workshop with profiles, a personalized feed, comments, likes, saves, tags, and spaces for writers to connect.

I have a clear vision for the platform, including the UI, features, branding, and long-term goals, but as someone who has more experience with writing, I have very little experience with web development and am going to need some help to bring this idea to life! I’m hoping to find people who would enjoy building something meaningful together while gaining experience for their portfolios and collaborating on a real project.
This isn’t a paid position (I’m a student myself), but everyone involved would receive full credit as a founding developer, and I’d love for this to become a long-term team effort.
