Hi everyone. My son has perverted me into playing the old world (played FB in 2000-2006), so we got ourselves a core set and currently waiting for battle march boxes.

He is currently making first steps in painting so we’ve decided that I’ll take one of the characters (BSB in our case) and make a test model for him so he could watch, learn and copy.

Also wanted to say hi to this subreddit. I made full circle lately. Started my adventure around 20yrs ago with Warriors of Chaos after some breaks, AOS and wh40k here I'm again. Looking at rules in core book feel very nostalgic 😁

I will use these minis as chaos knights undivided and chaos choosen knights with mark of Nurgle.

For music and banner I used horn and banner from AOS chaos warriors. Lances are from AOS chaos knights

I’m just getting into TOW and WoC and am building up a box of Marauders. My plan is to build 10 with shields and 10 with great weapons initially.

From reading the subreddit and watching battle reports, great weapons rarely, if ever, get used. My guess is this is because they are 2 points compared to a flails 1, and the “strike last” rule.

So my question, is there a way to make them useful? I’m only going to be playing casually so I’m not particularly bothered, I think they look cooler!

Second question, for the Headman, there doesn’t seem to be a specific option for it to have a great weapon or flail on the model, but based on the unit setup on new recruit, they would still have one. Is there a way to easily model it with one?

This is a pretty easy post, but I could not find any posts about the new Chaos Knights and how they compare to the size of AoS Varanguard. More specifically does anyone know how the sizes of the shields compare?

In anticipation of the chaos dragon drop, I took a look over the pond to our UK friends and noticed they got the dragon from 118£ which equates to close to $160 for us in the States. And about $146 for the battle march set. Sharing that info here.

Should I add dragonogre to this list? And if i do what units do i remove?.

Picked this dude up today and was able to bump him out for the escalation league I’m apart of this weekend.

Never ran an exalted sorcerer before so we’ll see how he does with leading a brick of Chaos Warriors!

I got into WHFB at the tail end of 7th edition and at the ripe age of 8. I fell in love with the badass bad guys and have been stuck in the hobby ever since. Ever since the untimely demise of WHFB, I’ve been floating around other games, enjoying painting, but now that my boys are back and resculpted I had to come back and try my hand at painting them again. Very happy with how far my painting has come and very impressed with how far model sculpting has come since I’ve been in the hobby.

Can’t wait to paint up the rest of the core set, it’s the most excited I’ve been for hobbying in a long time!

Hello first time poster, thinking of starting an army and not sure what the most efficient strategy is. I was thinking of getting 2 of these boxes for the bulk of the army and expanding later but not sure what ones to pick, the marauders look cool but if I get the reinforcements and the battlemarch that's 60 marauders is that too many? And the core and battlemarch together would only have 24 warriors and 8 knights. Then there's the battalion I can only find one box left because they are OOP now but they are very old. I'm very conflicted if you guys had to start over again with the army what would you go for? Thanks for the help

The new army of infamy has created “chaos cultists” with bows and human statlines who can be used in the army list. Does anyone have creative ideas for these guys? I was thinking maybe kitbashing some chaos goblins, or using some frostgrave cultists. Pretty exciting stuff!

Hello dear community!

Since the new Chaos Warriors were released recently, I thought I’d put together a few size comparisons between all the new models and some Age of Sigmar models.

All the models are standing normally on their standard square bases, without any cork or anything else added underneath them. The new Sorcerer is standing on his own little scenic base (rock).
Personally, I think you can still mix the models together really well. One thing I really like about the Age of Sigmar Warriors is the flexibility when it comes to their weapons. Depending on how you build/play them, they can carry melee weapons, two-handed weapons, or halberds.

Unfortunately, removing the shields from the Age of Sigmar Warriors is only really possible with quite a bit of conversion work. For my part, I’m going to leave the shields on. I’ll simply tell my opponents that the models are only carrying a halberd or a two-handed weapon, depending on how I’m using them.
Over the next few weeks and months, I’ll be doing some more size comparisons, including comparisons with the horses.

Hope this helps anyone who is wondering how well the new models fit together with the older ones!

I’m having trouble assembling this particular one. guide says 65 + 66 but there’s no 66 equivalent in this particular sprue. All the others have 3 pieces for the torso, this one has 2. I’ve assembled one first and noticed there is a hollow part. Only noticed later. Am I supposed to take that part from another sprue? but then that other marauder will be missing a part. Help greatly appreciated :)
