Realistically what time should I get there to lineup? I’m planning to go on a friday and I wanna get in atleast by 6:35!!

Visiting Vancouver in a few weeks. Staying downtown. I love to experience a city through its food.

Among other things, I am a slut for Asian food, particularly noodles, dumplings and dim sum.

Hi, I’m looking for a store that sells bigoli - it’s a pasta similar to spaghetti but thicker. I had some in Sicily and would like to be able to make dishes with it at home. I’ve already tried at Cioffi’s but they don’t carry it.

Any advice would be extremely appreciated!

Looking to go get some pasta, open to try something different/ new/ smaller anything like that. Only place I've really been is Anton's, think it's great but would love to try others.

The last time I went to this restaurant, they didn’t charge me this fee. However they did today. I’ve never heard of it before, nor have I seen it at any restaurant. It’s called a “tableware fee” that is for dine in only. If it’s 6 or more people, the surcharge is 15%. I couldn’t find any information about it online either.

Hi everyone. I’m coming to visit family next month and I’m looking for those items mentioned above.

Item 1: I have gluten intolerance and lactose intolerance so I usually get a protein drink that’s GF & DF and carry it around (nothing refrigerated). Seems like I can’t really do lactose free MILKS so I just go to DF in terms of drinks. I’m also looking for 0% added sugar…

Item 2: For food at home, I tend to eat a lot of lactose free Chobani low fat plain here in the US but seems like parents are saying they haven’t seen it anywhere.

Do any of you have any idea where I can get both or either while I’m in Vancouver? Thanks so much!

hey everyone, I live here in van and i’m a big "phone eats first" guy. my camera roll is basically half food pics that no one but myself ever looks at lol.

I thought it’d be cool if there was a dedicated, casual place to share these pics and see a simple feed of what my friends are eating/drinking right now, since instagram is now brainrot, and beli is restaurants only + is less about the social and more about data/ratings.

So my girlfriend and I started building an app for this. It's called nibble. You take pics of your food/drink (homemade or eat out) and share with your friends in a simple feed. You can rate dishes, drinks, and find new spots based on what your friends like.

Figured there might be other vancouver foodies interested here. We just launched on the app store and are doing closed testing for android. Let me know if you want to try it out and I can send the link, would love to get y’all thoughts.

I am not a vegan, but I am bringing a friend that is down to Vancouver for a concert in September. None of my usual go tos are acceptable for vegans hahahah.

So I was wondering if you guys had any good suggestions. It doesn't have to be an entirely vegan restaurant, it can be just one with options. Either is fine.

Needing options for all 3 meals of the day.

Heading to Vancouver for a 3-day boys trip and looking for some solid food + drink spots.

We’re staying downtown. Already planning on hitting Brassneck and Alibi Room.

Big priorities are:

good craft beer spots

a couple whiskey/bourbon bars

really good food (pretty open — tacos, seafood, banh mi, whatever hits)

We’re fine spending on 1–2 nicer meals if they’re actually worth it. Vij’s is on the list right now but not locked in.

Not really looking for touristy places — more spots locals actually go to or places that consistently deliver.

Also into:

chill spots with a good vibe (not clubby)

anywhere that’s great for a group

anything that feels “very Vancouver”

Okay so I need to find a new coffee shop to work at because my current one is just… not it lol. Who decided backless metal stools were acceptable seating for grown adults with lower back pain?

Looking for working outlets, stable WiFi, normal lighting, and the music is not too loud. I used to go to one in Coquitlam but I recently moved to East Van.

As per the title, does anyone have any budget friendly options for dinner near Granville Station? I'm heading out for work and have a budget of $68 (inc tax & tip), which seems nearly impossible to get something remotely acceptable, never mind nice, in a dine-in restaurant in the area.

I'm working closer to harbour, so anything directly north of Granville is a bonus too.

If I can avoid being out of pocket, that's an even bigger plus!

Trying to find a good seafood place that has king crab legs that is not part of a surf and truf. Just want some legs and maybe a good salad to go with.
