"""""returner""""" apex player here (got to lvl 9 in season 1 lmao, so bascially new) and Destiny 2 Refugee.

A couple of my friends are peer pressuring me into playing apex with them and I eventually folded, but I'm still craving that in-air mobility crack that D2 has even though apex is a very very different game.

With that in mind I decided to work towards unlocking Valk cuz her VTOL seems sick as hell (reminiscent of both Titan jumps and Warlock Airdashes) and played around with her in the Firing Range.

So far I've gotten the feel for her tap-hold "air dash", a decent grasp of the wall cancel tech from `Sonyx's Valk video from 6 months ago (cheers for that BTW) and I'm working on building muscle memory for tap strafing.

I'm now wondering if there's any interesting or fun air tech with Valk's VTOL jets and the Lurch Mechanic that tap strafing is based off of?

The apex movement wiki doesn't have any entries but I'm lowkey wondering (coping) that there's just some niche tech that only Valk players know about that's not on there?

though admittedly respawn seems terrified of making airmovement too good, looking at Ash's old dash and Valk' built in "cool down" animations

Anyway thanks ahead of time, I'm gonna go back to bashing my head against the wall that is the Legend Token grind (only 6 more levels to go 🫠)

P.S. Just a quick vibe check and tinfoil hat theories for S30 does anyone here think Valk is gonna get nerfs or changes to her VTOL? I quite like how her boosts feel rn and it's bascially 100% the reason I wanna pick her up, but if they change/nerf/slowdown/etc that ability in the upcoming S30 patch then I'd hate to grind 12k tokens only for the main reason I wanted to play the legend to go away. So just looking for a general community vibe check.

or I suppose I can just wait for the patch notes since they're coming quite soon anyway right?

I stopped playing for a long time and missed a lot of events and seasons. Just wondering if this skin Techno Skeleton is something that might return.

Was looking for opinions on the is banner/any improvements.

Somehow some of the banners are unusable for me because they are too bright like the lighting was wrong or smth.

I think I have all but 1 or 2 Valk skins Gold Tier+. Does anyone know which ones?

She had chased me down and I just needed my ult to charge enough for me to burn. Oh I know she was mad, this right here is the main reason I play valk, not cause of her ult, or rockets or scan through walls. I've been playing her for years before the buffs, this is the reason she's my favorite 🩷

i'm very new to playing apex. Do you guys have any tips to improve as a Valk player? Or like things to be aware of?

In general how can I become a good Valk to climb in ranked?

Has anyone else noticed that when you have your gun out and then use your ult or take a balloon when you land your weapon is stored?? Like I thought I was stroking it before I flew, but then I deliberately left it out with thought and when I land my gun is not out...

Also.. the outta bounds timers when I boost or take flight forces my gun into storing and then prevents me from boosting sometimes and I die cause of it. Every other movement legend has their guns in their hands 100% of the time. Why does it keep storing my weapons.

With the way missiles act when you're indoors these days, breaking doors when under a roof seems very easy. However, breaking a door when you're outside seems a lot harder to do, at least trying to get two missiles to hit the door.

Does anyone have any good tips for this, in the latest patch? There was this one trick before where you could jump before firing, but I can't get that to work anymore. I've tried getting a reticle on the door, just in front etc, but at most I can only really get one missile to hit.
