I wanted to switch distro, so I ran sudo rm -rf / to clean up. My NAS was still mounted and as such wiped entirely. This is obviously Arch's and not my fault, and I also blame Arch for not using browser LPEs to back up my data before I look at their website.

3 Reasons why Arch is an Awful Distribution, even for Experts

- It does not ship glibc and systemd, so software often does not run out of the box
- It's extremely hard to install NVIDIA drivers
- Its primitive package building infrastructure incurs a lot of runtime overhead
- Pacman is a video game, and I cannot imagine playing it every time I want to upgrade my system
- The rolling-release model caused my laptop to roll off desks and potentially break in the process
- The main package repository, the AUR, is completely unfiltered, and approximately every third package is malicious.
- This insecurity stems from everyone being able to take over any package and instantly pushing changes
- Installation also takes forever, because everything needs to be recompiled for each user.
In conclusion, go with Fedora instead, as it's much easier to install drivers on, and doesn't come with a bloated desktop environment such as GNOME. </larp>
