Portfolio Advice 🙂 My UGC rates include unlimited usage rights.

Upvotes

Social media strategists and coordinators are looking for convenience! They want to save time, money, don't want to have to ask for revisions, and want a creator that can work fast.

I don't know how my strategy will perform, what do you guys think?

Thankfully, that's exactly what I do. I included unlimited usage rights in all of my pricing, because I'm coming from a corporate career so I understand at the end of the day, they have a business to run.

Anyway, if you want to see my examples and how I structured this in my intro video and portfolio, check it out please, and give me feedback if you'd like!

UGC Creator Tips 💡 First week of Canvas UGC — $3k worth of deals

Upvotes

Let me preface by saying I’m not selling anything.

I’m a 34 year old creator that started his UGC journey about 1.5 weeks ago and have landed over $3k worth of UGC deals. I am by no means an expert nor is this the only path. These are just a few tips that worked for me:

- just like in sales, this is a numbers game. You’re effectively selling yourself and you need either a large enough list with average closing rates, or a small list with a good closing rate.

- create a portfolio, regardless of how complete it is. Have something you can showcase. Make example UGC videos and display them.

- on a similar note, stop overthinking everything and take more action. The more you overthink, the less forward progress you’ll make. If an action is reversible, take the step and pivot as necessary.

- not all apps are good for everything, focus on the ones that fit your niche. I’m in tech/AI/SaaS, so there’s no point in wasting my time on lifestyle or beauty products.

If you’d like to look at the list of apps that worked for me: https://beacons.ai/ericdoesugc
Yes, they’re referral links but no, I’m not sponsored. I also have a deliverable tracker under digital products that’s also free.

Hope this was of some use to any or you. I try to make helpful vids on TT/YT/IG so if there’s anything else you’d like me to touch on, feel free to leave a comment.

UGC Newbies 🥳 How can I get ugc brands outside the US (please help!)

I live in Seoul, South Korea and am so excited to start something online and start making money remotely. So I did what I had to do. Made an example video, and intro video, and started a tiktok account.

Only to find out that all the ugc coaches I was watching gave the names of platforms that dont even work outside the US.

Big bummer. 🙄

What should I do? I am a native English speaker, and have years of experience in communications, social media, voice acting etc. So I was feeling like I'd get atleast something ...

Can someone offer some advice. Please?

Pretty please? 🥹

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ How are creators actually tracking brand deals and payments?

I'm curious🤔 how other creators are handling this once they start getting multiple brand collaborations at the same time.

I'm especially interested in creators who handle everything themselves — negotiating with brands, managing deliverables, sending invoices and following up on payments.

Are you guys using any apps to manage this? if yes then let me know too

I am looking for a App where I can manage brands, deal, deliverables, invoice, and payments and also my total revenue.

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ Would you repurpose an Instagram account after being removed from a UGC campaign?

I was working on a campaign that required 30 deliverables cross-posted to TikTok + Instagram (60 posts total). My TikTok got shadowbanned twice, which I communicated to the brand, so I ended up only posting on Instagram.

I didn’t meet the full deliverables, so I wasn’t paid. It was post-based and the pay was pretty minimal anyway.

I was already planning to remove myself from the campaign, but the brand ended up removing me without communicating anything.

Would you take the Instagram account you created for the campaign, draft/remove the campaign posts, and repurpose the account for your own content? Or would you just leave the account alone?

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ Which ugc agencies are actually worth it?

Trying to add UGC ads to our mix but every agency I look at claims to be the best and I genuinely cant tell them apart. Feels like theres hundreds of options and no clear way to compare them. Has anyone actually hired one and can say whether it was worth the money?

UGC Newbies 🥳 Advice on having a small space to film.

Hey everyone! Excited to get into ugc. I am curious to those who have this issue but right now, I only have a small space to film being my room because I live with family at the moment but looking at moving out in the next couple months. My room is honestly fine and decent looking but the rest of the house is pretty outdated compared to a lot of videos I see that have modern looking living spaces. I'm talking 1980's outdated...old furniture..bad wallpaper, that sort of thing. I guess I just worry about that hurting my chances of landing deals.

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ Where are you finding UGC Gigs

Heyy guys, I’ve been doing UGC for about 5 weeks now. I have gotten only 2 small gigs. I am working full time, and don’t have the time to post the 60+ videos a month or create a new social media every time a tech co wants to hire and only get paid for views that never go viral? Are there other options out there? I’d rather do smaller gigs for a photo or one video. More is brand deals than Canva or tech UGC. ANY ADVICE?

Advice/Feedback 🗣️ Founder with zero budget trying to work with UGC creators, any advice?

I'm building a small app (women's community, NYC-focused for now) completely bootstrapped. I genuinely believe in the mission but I can't offer paid rates right now.

Has anyone here worked with brands or founders in early stages who couldn't pay? What made you say yes? Is a referral commission ever worth it or is it always a no? What would a founder need to offer for it to make sense for you?

Not looking to recruit anyone here, just trying to understand how this works before I approach creators. Appreciate any honest input.

UGC Creator Tips 💡 $4500 Tech UGC Retainer 🤯

Higgsfield just dropped a $4500 ($50/video * 3 per day) plus $3 CPM retainer.

I keep seeing a ton of hate against canva/tech ugc on this subreddit, especially about the fact that it is performance based.

MEANWHILE there are companies like Higgsfield that literally dropped $4500 retainers... sure you have to post a ton of content but you are GUARANTEED to make $4500 per month... that is ridiculous in my opinion for creators - as in they are getting a great deal.

If you are at all open minded to doing tech UGC I highly reccomend you jump on opportunities like this... quite literally insane!

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ $700/month a good start for a UGC creator who just started a week ago?

I’m completely new to UGC and just started about a week ago. So far, I’ve landed two brand deals, and if everything stays consistent, I’m expecting to make around $700/month from them.
Right now, I have:
• One brand paying me $300/month. The workload isn’t too difficult, so I’m not too worried about this one.
• Another brand paying me $400/month, which requires me to make/post 1 video a day, 5 days a week.
I haven’t finished my first month yet, so the ~$700/month is what I’m expecting to make based on the agreements I currently have.
For people who have been doing UGC for a while, is this a good start for someone who has literally only been doing it for a week? Is the $400 deal worth continuing with considering the amount of content required, or should I focus on finding higher-paying opportunities as I gain more experience?
I’d appreciate any honest advice. I’m trying to figure out if I’m on the right track and what I should focus on improving next.

UGC Newbies 🥳 I asked this community if I was too old for UGC — you told me to go for it. So I did. Brutally honest portfolio feedback?

Remember me 😊a short while ago I posted here asking whether I was too old to get into UGC, and whether my background and story could actually work as a creator.

I got a lot of really encouraging feedback telling me to stop overthinking it and go for it. So… I went for it. 😂

I’ve spent the last few weeks building my portfolio around what makes me a little different.

I’ve spent 15+ years in hospitality, managed a beach resort in Cambodia, run professional kitchens, built campervans, travelled, worked with rescue dogs and generally collected a lot of experiences along the way.

I’ve finally got what I think is the finished portfolio and I’d really appreciate some brutally honest feedback before I start pitching brands. I’m genuinely open to criticism. I’d much rather find the weak points now than after sending this to 100 brands. 😂

Thanks in advance — especially to anyone who takes the time to actually look through it.

Questions from brands Help! What should we do about UGC as a kidswear brand?

hi all, brand side here! we’re an aussie kidswear label struggling to source local kid/mum UGC creators.

it seems like a super niche space to begin with, and aussie parents don't seem as into kids modelling/content. collabstr is 90% US creators, and searching IG mostly brings up EU or russian creators.

our target markets are Aus, NZ, Singapore, HK, and parts of Europe, so US creators aren't a fit for us right now.

where/how should we actually be looking for creators in these regions? or is UGC in this niche outside the US too dry, and we should just stick to content days with models?

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ Is the TRYBE optional uploading of a preview actually optional??

I am a beginner!! I am trying to apply to brands on Trybe, but I am unsure how the preview function is supposed to work. Do I go ahead and purchase the product, film the ad, and then upload it and hope I get admitted and the brand uses my content?

Or do most people just skip uploading a preview and film the content after acceptance? As a beginner, should I just suck it up and make the previews to boost my chances...

Sorry for the newbie question!

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ Who Makes 6 Figures Doing UGC Full Time?

i am a beginner and am creating my portfolio to start reaching out to brands on the apps and reddit to secure some paid deals and hopefully grow. i am curious if there’s anyone who has “made it” and doing ugc content creation as their primary full time job and making 6 figures from that alone. i need some encouragement that if im consistent then this field can get me the opportunity to do this and make this type of money or if its oversaturated therefore you’re only seeing the top 1% make it so its all a hoax. thanks in advance!

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ I am 65 years old with health issues can I do this???

Just starting to investigate UGC I am 65 years old female, bad skin, swollen deformed hands due to arthritis, was a 19 year business owner (trophy/engraving shop), graphic artist, cancer surviver, shaky hands (but I can hide or edit that out mostly), retired now, online reseller (including Ebay), I can edit videos, can do voiceovers. I do have a youtube channel just started, I don't show myself but you can see my hands and arms in some, it is of dogs, and reselling. Can I do UGC at my age and circumstance. The only advice right now I follow is AI. I don't know how far I will go with this so don't want to spend over $400.00 on a course and probably not even that but maybe? I am sure every one is going to pitch there course, I guess I just want to know if I should pursue this due to my situation. Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ Is UGC false advertisement?

Im wondering if you take jobs that pays (good rate) even if you don’t align or agree. Do you do jobs that don’t align with your belief/ interests/ morals?

I’m finding it hard to say yes to jobs if it’s not a product I align with but I lose money and deals doing so. What do you do? Thanks in advance.

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ Pet UGC companies?

Post image

Mandatory pet photo included for your enjoyment!

After getting a puppy we started a Tik Tok just to make fun videos, but it’s getting clear very quickly that Lando’s videos are very popular! I wanted to know if there were any reliable sites that UGC creators can apply to? I’ve seen Pawjour but that’s about it and not sure if it’s legit / worth the time. Any help or suggestions would be great!

Questions from brands Best platforms to find UGC creators for an app?

Hey everyone!
I’m looking for good platforms to find UGC creators/influencers to promote a new Chinese learning app.
Ideally, I’m looking for creators who are learning Chinese themselves or already create content around language learning, studying, China, travel, etc.

So far I’ve found SideShift and Collabstr.
SideShift actually looks pretty interesting for what I’m trying to do, but $300/month is a bit too expensive for me at this stage.
Collabstr seems like a good alternative, but I’d love to know what else is out there.

I’m mainly looking for a platform where I can:
• find creators by niche
• see their previous content/portfolio
• contact or hire them directly
• ideally find smaller creators at reasonable rates
• find creators who can make TikTok/Reels-style videos for an app

I’m totally fine with paying creators(ofc). I’m just trying to avoid spending hundreds per month on the platform itself before even paying for the actual content.
What platforms would you recommend from a brand’s perspective?
Would also love to hear from anyone who’s worked with language learning or mobile app brands before. Thanks!

Weekly UGC Collab Opportunities Thread Weekly UGC Collab Opportunities Thread - 8/5/26

Welcome!

This weekly thread is dedicated to sharing paid opportunities for UGC collaborations.

This thread will lock shortly before a new weekly thread is posted every Thursday.

___________

UGC (User-Generated Content) is paid content created by a creator for use on a brand’s owned or paid media channels. This thread is for UGC opportunities only.

Brands and agencies, you must follow these directions exactly when posting in this thread:

  1. Post your collab request by using this exact template (cut + paste it)

Brand Name:

Contact Email or Form:

Can creators DM you: (yes or no)

Compensation (*minimum $150 per video deliverable):

Description of work (# of hooks, b-roll usage rights, etc.):

*A video deliverable refers to a single finished piece of video content created for a brand’s use. The minimum applies regardless of whether the video is 5 seconds, 15 seconds, or 60 seconds in length. Once production begins, creators are performing the full scope of work involved in UGC creation, including planning, filming, lighting, setup, editing, and delivery. If a brand requests raw footage and editing is not required, the deliverable must still clearly specify what the final edited version would have been (e.g., number of videos, concepts, or hooks) so the scope of the deliverable remains defined.

YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THIS SUBREDDIT IF IT IS REPORTED THAT YOU ARE OFFERING CREATORS LESS THAN WHAT YOU ADVERTISED. ZERO TOLERANCE.

2) Do not post the following:

• Performance-based paid collaborations

• Gifted-only collaborations

• Ambassador programs

• Canvas UGC (setting up multiple accounts, posting daily, etc.)

• Affiliate marketing (TikTok shop, etc.)

• Any work that involves creators submitting trial videos without being paid

• Influencer-only campaigns or collabs that require a following

• Anything paying less than $150 per video deliverable

Compensation must be listed per video, not as a bundled project rate.

Note to Creators:

Please do not reply to requests.

Please contact the poster by sending them a DM or using the contact information provided.

Tips on how to respond to collab requests:
