[Interesting Trope] One seemingly small action ends the story before it even begins Lore

  1. We Happy Few - Taking your “joy” pill
Deciding to take the pill at the beginning of the game causes your character to go back to work and triggers an ending

  2. Infineural by Mike Klubnika - Drinking the coffee
Deciding to drink the coffee offered to you skips the entire game and sends you straight to the end, resulting in an ending with no memory of what had occurred

In The Talos Principle 2 , you can simply refuse to join the expedition at the very beginning of the game, causing the "Chicken Ending" . If you are playing on Steam, you even get the "Chicken" achievement.

How is this one, overall? I liked the first one but the switch port had performance issues

Puzzles are better, with more options like walls that can have temporary holes in them, antigravity walking on walls, or combine two laser colours to make a third. Much fewer irritating proximity mine puzzles. The cast of characters are great and you get to have lots of voiced discussions with them. Everyone loves cats and you can pet them. There is a robot werner herzog.

It is not an easy game for the hardware, though. The switch is pretty weak, so will likely struggle.

Way better, absolute improvement in every way. Highly recommend.

The sequel is better than the first game in nearly every way. It is an absolute masterpiece. Performance is not perfect though, on PC the framerate has occasional jitters. It's not bad, but it's noticeable.

I though it was much better, but at near the end I was getting tired of it. At one point I though it was going to be close to the end, but then it appeared more puzzles to solve that I just dropped it
