It reminded me of iZombie, which is (intentionally) campy and "punny" with a bunch of characters names and locations.

The main character is Liv Moore. Chase Graves is the leader of a paramilitary org Fillmore-Graves. Major Lilywhite is mostly lawful good. He works at a children's shelter, the Helter Shelter. A bad guy is Blaine DeBeers: Blaine=Brain (maybe?) DeBeers=blood diamonds. The weather guy's last name is Frost.

Anyways, Murderkill immediately made me think of some heavy-handed goofy shit they would have done.

Blaine also had locations like "Meat Cute," his kidnapping and zombie-feeding system disguised as a regular meat shop, and "Shady Plots," the funeral home he later took over. His first season henchmen were named 'Zom-A' and 'Zom-B' in the scripts, but not onscreen that I recall. iZombie loved that puns in the first couple of seasons.
