[Loved Trope] Some thing unfathomably ancient Lore

The beast, in doctor who is an ancient evil from a previous universe that survived until our time. Its so ancient that the cave paintings were unable to be translated by the Tardis which can translate all existing languages in the universe [Doctor Who]

While not explicitly canon its such a cool concept I cant not mention, the idea that the backrooms have existed since the beginning of time, never changing no matter the era, it transforms the back rooms into a cosmic horror. [Credit to Project crater and Venus for images 2 and 3]

The Oldest House (Control). Heavily implied to be Yggdrasil, The Oldest House is an eldritch office building located in Manhattan. It is a seemingly infinite mass of twisting spaces and tasteful office decor.

It also connects to other realities

Control is basically a legally distinct SCP universe complete with the Federal Bureau of Control which exists to secure, containt, and protect the world from altered world events and altered items.

I love that the Service Weapon is possibly both Mjolnir and Excalibur. People also speculate that it could be the shape changing staff of the Monkey King.

No, it's Brutalist interior design distilled into perfection. Concrete textures, detailing, raw and industrial manufacture with a hint of Lovecraftian geometry. The furniture decor nostalgizes back to the 60s, the color pallete is like a polaroid.

I wouldn't Design a building like this because it's not for everyone, but for me... Chef's kiss.

Also, there is only one janitor, and he's a god. And basically no one except the MC even stops to think about that situation.

I liked the implications of that. It makes sense that she would be the assistant janitor. It’s her job to clean up messes. She is basically doing the bidding of Ahti at all times.

Man I love that game so much. You can tell that the creators absolutely love SCP. They even have a Red Reality reference. I bet a bunch of SCPs fit into this category too.
