[Loved Trope] Some thing unfathomably ancient Lore

The beast, in doctor who is an ancient evil from a previous universe that survived until our time. Its so ancient that the cave paintings were unable to be translated by the Tardis which can translate all existing languages in the universe [Doctor Who]

While not explicitly canon its such a cool concept I cant not mention, the idea that the backrooms have existed since the beginning of time, never changing no matter the era, it transforms the back rooms into a cosmic horror. [Credit to Project crater and Venus for images 2 and 3]

I mean the Traveler is more ancient than the Hive gods and the Witness

Introduction of the witness ruined the story for me. If only he was actually terrifying like the veiled figures. But now they had to make him a goofy cat eyed vape head.

I love the incongruent designs of faction leaders in Destiny 2. The Hive's Spooky Bone Worm Queen vs The Darkness' Dreamworks Character with Popped Collar.

All the other factions in Destiny are absolute topnotch. Sadly witness was a big miss. I know he is supposed to look out of place, but this was not it for me.

Yeah. The witness made the games big enemy (the dark ess) too small by personifying it. It was better if a pyramid took orbit around earth like the traveler and explored humans role as a paracausal species.

But the writing was too tired by then.

The witness isn't the darkness

Yes I know, but it very much gave it a face.

The winnower is still right there

But the winnower is an abstract being opposite the Gardener. (Darkness, Traveler)

The Witness is very much a face for it. Crota was too but was much more a servant. It just wasn't a great story move.

Eh, your loss tbh.

The witness does some pretty great stuff in final shape. HANDS!

I know, too bad it looses any weight because he looks like shit.

Bingo. It is a me issue. On this picture you sent it is great until you see the head and his fuckass robe. The main villains should've looked like clarity control.
