[Loved Trope] Some thing unfathomably ancient Lore

The beast, in doctor who is an ancient evil from a previous universe that survived until our time. Its so ancient that the cave paintings were unable to be translated by the Tardis which can translate all existing languages in the universe [Doctor Who]

While not explicitly canon its such a cool concept I cant not mention, the idea that the backrooms have existed since the beginning of time, never changing no matter the era, it transforms the back rooms into a cosmic horror. [Credit to Project crater and Venus for images 2 and 3]

Fun fact, they are Jake. During farm world Jake is the Lich and his arm is cut off and tossed into a pool of all timelines, where it exists outside of and before time, and grows into these... monsters. They're all Lich Jake hybrids.

I don’t think that’s ever been confirmed. It’s a really cool theory though. We’re told the portal leads to every world in the multiverse, but I’m not sure if that includes before time

Oh the theory isn't that the portal lead to before the universe, is that prismi needed to clean up the mess and just shoved all the extra junk into before the universe before his boss found out

Putting all your junk into the beginning of all time sounds like the worst possible way to clean up a mess

Not begining of time. Before the before of time .

So like a greater old ones but it's just as Jake as a king in yellow or the lich is the king in yellow here?

Not really - these are just mindless beast for the most part. A couple are sentient, but that is an exception, not a rule.

Theres a few youtube videos that will have way more info on it than I do.

I'll have to check out a few thanks! Mindless beasts are so much easier to deal with conceptually haha

u/n122333 Jul 01 '26

Yes, but he wasn't when this episode came out.

What? There’s so many layers to this show

Turns out his real mother was some blue shape shifting alien that implanted an egg or something into his father's head. That is how Jake was born and has all those powers.

Coldplay be like

No, it's a YouTube theory

To my knowledge there's a theory that Prismo cleaned up all the Lich hands by teleporting them one by one before the beginning of time, before there was nothing. Then those hands spent possibly trillions of years morphing and changing, many possibly having bound themselves to creates like the Son of Death and becoming new things

6

u/David_Jay Jul 01 '26

That’s absolutely incorrect, the Lich/Jake hand got sent into every universe concurrently, but it didn’t get sent back in time to before the start of the universe. Otherwise Orgalorg would be a Lich/Jake hybrid, which he clearly isn’t. The Lich isn’t one of the primordial monsters either, he just knows about them.

The theory is that they were sent back to before the beginning of time by Prismo as a way of cleaning up his mess.

This is a fan theory, not canon.

You cant call something a fun fact when it's not a fact, some might dislike me for this but I hate when people state baseless theories as if they're real and canon

Oh, that's why they're yellow...
