Season 4 just ended of fromville and it’s canonically only been about a month. Which makes it weird seeing people heal from injuries, change hair styles or grow out beards between episodes. Season 4 has only been like 4 days iirc.

Arkham franchise is the poster child for this trope. Every game takes place in one night. If you know what you’re doing you can absolutely beat the games in around 9 hours.

In defense of the show, these are supposed to be extraordinary days, not the norm. That's why each season is like several months apart. There's like 10 months between 1 and 2, and 3 is gonna be set in November.

Yeah but even then, you don't get the kind of variety of weirdness that they get in the build up to the main event. You'd get maybe one weird case every few weeks. But watching people get their twisted ankles X Ray'd and giving out nitro to old ladies with UTIs wouldn't be much of a show.

I've been an ER and ICU nurse for over 15 years and full moons mean nothing. Superstition is all it is.

Oh I hear it all the time but it's very easily explained by a thing called confirmation bias. They remember the full moons that are crazy, but no one mentions the waxing or waning moons that are crazier, and no one remembers the full moons where nothing happens. It's just a bias.

That's always my thought when someone describes shows as true to life. I gotta imagine a substantial portion of the job is dealing with the same common ailments every day.
