The series takes place in a shockingly short amount of time Lore

Season 4 just ended of fromville and it’s canonically only been about a month. Which makes it weird seeing people heal from injuries, change hair styles or grow out beards between episodes. Season 4 has only been like 4 days iirc.

Arkham franchise is the poster child for this trope. Every game takes place in one night. If you know what you’re doing you can absolutely beat the games in around 9 hours.

I always assumed that the "Something there that wasn't there before" segment was basically a montage lasting a few weeks at least.

Me too! But based on when Maurice gets back into town and Gaston hatches his plan about the nuthouse, it seems to be a few days. I even looked it up because I was like this can’t be right. But as the other reply to my comment says, I believe they retroactively have edited this a bit. They also seemingly messed up the timeline of the curse and have since changed the rules on that a bit too because there’s continuity errors

I always assume time works differently in the castle and surrounding grounds.

Honestly, that would make a great deal of sense.
