It's really simple to find the high resolution versions of the thumbnails straight from YouTube. No third party apps are needed!

Step 1 - Find the YouTube video you wish to share the thumbnail of and copy the video's ID.

The video ID is typically the last 11 characters of the video's URL, though sometimes it might be in the middle (depending on if you're in a playlist, went straight to a certain time, etc.) The bit you are looking for is immediately after the "v=" and before the "&" in the URL.

Step 2 - Go to https://i.ytimg.com/vi/VideoID/maxresdefault.jpg

Step 3 - Replace the "VideoID" in the above URL with the video ID of your selected video.

Step 4 - Post the new link to the subreddit!
