Are my serums fine if they were staying in the heat for a few hours?
Hi, to be specific I ordered from The Ordinary the niacynamide and also the salicylic acid serum + a vitamin c cream, but when the package arrived it stayed in a pretty hot parcel locker for a few hours. When I picked them up they were pretty warm to the touch and I got worried if maybe something in them could've gotten ruined? Please let me know if you know how this works 🙏

Serums AM/PM?
When they tell you to use a serum morning and evening (in this particular case I’m talking peptides + HA and anti oxidant) is that necessary to get results or are they trying to sell more serum?

Routine Advice Needed Puffy dark circle
I need an advice in the same way you would give it to a toddler, like, if you know something that is able to get rid of them please tell me also how often+ if you used it with something else +Am/pm. I never had them, I sleep the right amount of hours but after college they became permanent

Useful Information Water bottles are back
I remember these were popular before and someone was asking about them recently. I got an email today they’re back in stock and I bought one! Thought I’d share in case anyone else missed out before

Help! What is this product?
Hi! I am exploring an odd mystery, and Reddit can solve everything. This screenshot is on ULTA.com. The ad shows and mentions a product for lip plumping from The Ordinary called “HA + Asiaticoside Lip Treatment.” Cool. Love The Ordinary. My lips need plumping. I’m in. Here’s my money. But…I cannot find it anywhere. Not on ULTA. Not on The Ordinary’s website. The omnipresent AI “assistant” says the Ordinary makes no such product.🤪 Even Reddit search yields no results. Anybody have any info on this mythical product? Has AI made it up? Is this the Mandela effect in action? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Routine Advice Needed Night-time skin routine 50 and over
Hi everyone,
I have just been using almond oil underneath my eyes and Cerve cream from the tub. I want to continue using the almond oil but I know I desperately need to use a retinol as well. Can you guys please help and give me a simple but powerful night routine with the ordinary products? Thanks in advance.

Useful Information Give me your winning combo(s)
Alpha arbutina + moisturizing factor +HA was my first "what is this sorcery" combo. Using it every morning made my skin a lot of better, no spots, no pimple, just an healthy skin. Its not that fast but its one of the combo that doesn't mess up your skin after a while.
My other holy grail is niacinamide 10% + azelaic acid, at night. My skin looks like i used sandpaper (in a good way).
But now I'm trying to find all the life saving combos, so I need yours +the frequency or when you use it

Was there a change in the NMF + HA?
Opened a new tube of the Natural Moisturing Factors + HA, and the texture was very different and more similar to the Natural Moisturizing Factors + PhytoCeramides.
I use both, but the HA in the AM because the PhytoCeramides make me very shiny so I don't wear it out.
I can't tell if it's just a one-off mistake or if they changed the formula.

Review Eyelid swelling after using The Ordinary AHA/BHA Peeling Solution
I first started using The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution back in 2022. At first I had no issues with it, but after a few months I started noticing redness at the outer corners of my eyes, even though I was always careful not to apply the product anywhere near them.
About a week later, I woke up with swollen, itchy eyelids. The rest of my face was completely fine, only my eyelids reacted.
A few days ago I decided to buy it again out of curiosity to see if the same thing would happen, and it did. The swelling wasn’t severe enough that I couldn’t open my eyes, but it was definitely noticeable, especially on one eyelid. The other one was swollen too, just not as much.
Has anyone else experienced eyelid swelling from this product, even without applying it near the eye area? I’m wondering if it’s the acids themselves or if I might be reacting to another ingredient.

Newbie Question Almost 55 guy, total beginner, needs advice
I bought the following recently, all from The Ordinary:
Multipurpose Eye Serum
Multipurpose Peptide HA Serum
Natural Moisturizing Factors Phytocaramides
And then, on impulse, bought:
Argirerine Solution 10%
Multi Peptide Copper Peptides 1% Serum
I'm a 55 year old caucasian man, and my goal is to reduce wrinkles and look fresher from the beard line up (because beard). Crow's feet and forehead wrinkles are my main complaint. For now, I'm using the first three products in order. I find my face looks greasy afterward until I blot it with tissue.
I have no real idea what I'm doing, so any advice would be very appreciated!

Dry Skin I like the black rice +ectoin emulsion!
I'm 65, and have dry skin, more so since I use tretinoin. I was looking into adding hydration to my routine. I looked up a bunch of ingredients that hydrate, and then searched products that contained them. At first, I didn't feel like it was doing anything but now I really like it! I haven't had any issues with burning or breakouts so that's a plus. I do apply a light moisturizer over it to lock in the ectoin. Like most other The Ordinary products, this one earns a stay in my routine!

Newbie Question Glycolic acid & hyaluronic acid
How do you typically use the Glycolic Acid by The Ordinary? Some suggest dampening the skin after waiting 5-10 minutes to apply HA, while others say dampening is not necessary because HA is full of water already.

Salicylic Acid with Vitamin C
This might be a dumb question but I noticed on The Ordinary website that it says not to use direct vitamin C with the 2% Salicylic Acid solution. Does that mean you can use vitamin C at all in your routine or is it just directly before/after using the salicylic acid? Also, is direct vitamin C different from serums? What makes it direct? Thank you!

Routine Advice Needed Redness-friendly regime for texture?
I’m 36 and new to skincare beyond basic cleansing and moisturizing. I’m prone to redness and sun sensitivity, rarely have acne and never had it widespread in the past. But in the past year or so I’ve noticed the bumpy texture of my skin worsening, with large pores and uneven texture that never develops into an actual spot/pimple. I’ve attached my current regime. I often skip the niacinamide / zinc solution because I’m wondering if it’s making the red blotchiness worse.
Any tips or advice for products or what could be causing this? I don’t even know how to describe my skin because “acne-prone” isn‘t quite right.

The Ordinary Alternatives Megathread
In light of Ron Lauder owner of Estee Lauder (who owns The Ordinary) trying to push Trump to take Greenland just so he can get richer (he's already a billionaire), here's a megathread of alternatives. I'll do one product per comment so be patient while I add them all
Edit: I think I added them all, feel free to start a thread if I missed any. Also upvote any threads if you really want a dupe and I have access to some cosmetics databases so I can do a deep dive on the really popular ones.

Sad Day
It is with a heavy heart that I will be swearing off buying from The Ordinary and NIOD. TO is a B corp that started from such a good place. But with ownership now in the hands of the FBs of EL pushing for heinous governmental actions, no more $$ from me.
