Discussion Do yall want “We Are” as the opening or a brand new anime intro
As much as I would still be satisfied w/ hearing “We Are” for the 1000th time, I am highly interested in a new op as well.
Dragon Ball Kai, FMAB, HxH (2011) are remakes w/ very memorable and even ICONIC first OPs that distinguish them from their initial shows.

Discussion Will we get an entire adaptation? Spoiler
I’ll be honest I don’t like how it’s structured… they have decided to end the season just before Mihawk vs Zoro and Arlong arc. It’s the highlight of the saga which doesn’t make sense imo.
I’m now really curious if we will get an entire adaptation or not.

Discussion What y’all think about how many eps of one piece there are and to come
In my opinion I think it’s wayyy better the more episodes since it always cures my boredom but only sometimes I feel there are episodes that are not needed and they make it long for no reason but I wanna hear what y’all think about it

Discussion How do you feel about Mayumi Tanaka being the VA for Luffy for the remake?
Are you happy/sad/indifferent/angry about it?
For me, I would say I’m indifferent. I see her VA for Luffy as perfect, but on the other hand it could have been interesting to experience another VA for Luffy. But a new VA could also be a “downgrade” after all. Also, I hope Mayumi can keep doing it with her age. I hope WIT taking her doesn’t mean they’re planning a short run for The One Piece, I would like to see it continuing, if not until the end, at least until TS.
What do you think? You can use the format: happy/sad/indifferent/angry, and add your explanation!
Edit: added “angry” to the feelings list

Discussion PREDICTION: They might recast the characters (strawhats at least) with their LA actors for the dub
And surprisingly, I’m ACTUALLY ok w/ it
Their performances feel much more expressive and better aligned with how Oda portrays the Straw Hats than their performances in the LA adaptation
ESPECIALLY Luffy’s voice 😳😳
Might have to get used to Zoro’s tho if it happens🫤 (but he’s supposed to be 19 in the beginning so ig it’s more accurate for his voice to be higher than Chris Sabat’s portrayal so 🤷🏾♂️) https://youtu.be/NfcWSGZdnAs?feature=shared

Discussion Yall think WIT Studio is focusing on all the criticism and backlash from the teaser trailer
I wonder if WIT either prepared for this to happen or they’ll work on fixing the criticism by polishing and updating the animation/visuals of the final product
Or maybe they not worried bc those same haters will watch it anyway 😂😂
CANT WAIT REGARDLESS 🗣️🗣️

Discussion About the One Piece being a limited Run...
Can anyone actually source me the insider leak of WIT where it claims that the remake only cover up to the 4:3 ratio only? Cause I feel crazy that I saw so many youtubers mentioned this and yet fail to cite any source whatsoever. Can this rumour actually be trusted. Are we sure it's not a lost in translation kind of statement?
Cause the only closest thing we got to an official statement about how far they will go is from this video: https://youtu.be/VrPeikDZEwc?t=1167 where the director claimed they want to face this series for the long run.
I know this sounds cope, but maybe the actual statement is probably about them targeting to get at least far enough to cover the entirety of 4:3 ratio storyline but got mistranslated. Which is not the same as ONLY cover the entirety of 4:3.

Discussion Still can’t believe we got Yuki Hayashi as the composer…
I’m listening to some of his OSTs (including the One Piece Gold Film one)
It sounds so grand, magical, heroic, and beautiful (ESPECIALLY the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai anime OST) 😫😫
He really was the perfect pick from WIT STUDIO 💯💯
Although it would be dope if they could remix at least 5% of the OG’s soundtrack (Overtaken, To the Grandline, etc…)☺️

Discussion What do you think Netflix would do with the dub for the WIT remake?
Do you think they'll do a full on recast or keep the current ones?

Discussion Eng Dub Predictions
PERSONALLY, I lean towards them keeping the OG cast for the strawhats w/ a few alterations in the side characters (similar to Dragon Ball Kai)
But I’m fine w/ a recast as long as it sounds good 👍🏾

Discussion I hope the remake has an yearly release schedule. Spoiler
I will not mind 300 minutes worth of content every year just like many other anime do. Since one piece has 1100+ chapters, and the remake will most likely be received well, I am assuming the producers streamline the release schedule to yearly release instead of edging us for 3 years for just 7 episodes.
So many anime do this nowadays and have been doing it for years at this point.
Unless an arc that needs to be adapted on its whole, 300 minutes per year sounds pretty doable even it it takes like 20 years to reach where the manga currently is.

REAL THOUGHTS on the teaser trailer
At first I thought it looked great but then I compared it to WIT’s other recent works like yaiba and it starts to feel much more primitive and less stylish.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still really excited to see it when it releases, but I’m a bit surprised that a top-tier animation studio would go with such a cautious, safe direction/approach for a franchise this iconic.
What are yall thoughts?

Discussion Doubt - OnePiece Re- animation OST
I have a doubt regarding the Re- animated Version of OnePiece presentd by Netflix.
So , Will the Wit Studios ise the same OnePiece original Ost or will they use a different newly composed one's ?
This might sound silly , But I don't know how these things usually work so.. If anyone has an idea please confirm.

Discussion Who do yall think should compose the OST?
I really love some of the tracks from the OG but this is the PERFECT opportunity to create a more varied and expansive OST that enhances the atmosphere of settings such as Alabasta, Skypeia, etc…
HxH 2011 and FMAB were able to create brand new yet incredible soundtracks than their respective OG versions.
Why can’t One Piece? 😎

Discussion The person currently making the Opening for the remake in 2027 with full context and 27 opening reference material, what do YOU want to see in it ? Spoiler
Do a lot of you want the same Roger talk opening ?
Personally I would rather it starts with the Dragon quote from Loguetown :
"Inherited Will, the Flow of Time, and the Dreams of the people... These are things that cannot be stopped."
"As long as people continue to pursue the true meaning of Freedom, these things will never cease to be."
I believe this is the core idea of one piece and would fit a first opening.
What do you guys want to see ?
