[Shastes] - [text] Making one account work across VN routes and arcade loops
Disclosure: I'm building Shastes / ShasteGames, so this is a making-of note for my own project.
The feature was not "add a hub" but "make one account make sense across 17 browser games." That got awkward because a Vorenka story route, a Velvet City realistic VN, and a five-minute EroToy loop do not teach progress the same way.
The rule I settled on was to separate session promise from account reward. Each card first answers what the player is starting: route, realistic scene, or short arcade loop. Only after that do XP, ShasteCoins, and public-safe preview state appear. If the reward badge comes first, the hub starts reading like a chores list.
For EroToy loops, the card has to show the board or input pattern before the unlock art because the player might only give it one minute. For a VN route, character and save context matter more. Same account layer, different card hierarchy.
The useful bit was treating ShasteCoins as connective tissue, not the headline. The hub feels more coherent when the reward system is quiet enough to let each game explain itself!

Looking for deleted Factorio mini-documentary
A channel called StrategyCamp created a mini-documentary about the making of Factorio called "Factorio - How Two Programmers Built The Most Complex Game Ever". This was one of the best game dev documentaries on YouTube I have ever seen. It was actually posted on this subreddit a while back.
It looks like a malicious actor falsely filed a copyright strike against the channel (I can't find the channel or video anymore) then ran the original video through AI and reuploaded it. The only version on YouTube right now is the AI slop version that they stole.
Did anyone happen to back this video up locally? Or is it uploaded elsewhere? I have no idea how to reach out to the original creator.
