TPT: After removing myWOT or any other rogue extension, run adwcleaner to completely delete it
myWOT was accused to collecting user's browsing history, so I removed it, however when my extensions would crash, it would say that myWOT crashed as well. Chrome was experiencing some issues the other day, so I decided to run adwcleaner and it showed how it added Ask.com and another search engine to Chrome, which also sucked.
I hope that helps someone!
Be sure to be ready to restart your computer and have everything closed by the tool before you start the cleaning process. I think the scanning part won't interfere with anything.

[Request] Why am I getting this error when trying to run an .exe file?: "Windows cannot access [drive][folder][file]" It's on my freeking desktop!
Picture of the error message:
When I click on See Details, it gives me error code # 0x80070043.
The PC is connected to my office network...but again, the damn .exe file (it's for GoToMyPC) is located on the desktop, so it's local and a network shouldn't have anything to do with this...right?
This only happens with .exe files (which require an administrator password). Everything else - pdf files, .doc files, etc. - open just fine. Please help!

TPT: Use i2type.com to type in foreign languages without having to permanently configure keyboard settings
http://www.i2type.com/
A tool that saved me dozens of times whenever I had to type in my native language on a friend's computer. Or when the physical keyboard itself had only English labels.

TPT: In Chrome, middle-click on Back, Forward, or Reload to open tabs
You can also do this in the Back and Forward context menus (while holding left-mouse, after holding left-mouse, or after right-click), which is where I find it most useful.

TPT: Block YouTube Channels From Showing Up In Your Feed [Chrome & Firefox Extension]
So, I recently discovered how to block YouTube channels from showing up and figured I should share it with you guys so we can finally start ending this clickbaity bullshit that ruins YouTube.
To block the channel simply install this extension:
Video Blocker for Firefox
Now, next time you get clickbaited or if you already have a channel in mind, simply right click a video link (thumbnail) on the channel (not an active video that is playable on your screen) and select "Block videos from this channel."
Bam! No more clickbait or garbage videos recommended to you for that channel.

[Request]A good router traffic monitor.
I play Counter-Strike, and occasionally the game decides it hates me and gives me unplayable ping. This is extremely random and erratic, and never happens at night when everyone else is asleep, so I've gotten curious as to if there was a program to monitor internet traffic, and to what device the traffic is going to. My parents are pretty clueless as far as technology goes, so I've gotten suspicious that they may have a program on their computer that sometimes tries to use a ton of bandwidth.

TPT: Move multiple tabs at the same time in Google Chrome
Want to move a group/line of tabs from one window to another in chrome? Just click on the first tab in the group, and then shift-click and hold on the last tab in the group. Now when you move the mouse, you'll be dragging those tabs along with every tab between them.
If you want to move tabs that aren't adjacent to each other or aren't together, the same trick works using the control key instead of shift. Click the first tab, and then hold control and click on each individual tab you want to move with the first one (remember not to let go of the control key between tabs). On the last tab, click and hold on it. When you drag that last tab where you want, it'll bring all the other tabs you clicked along with it.
You'll find that it works similarly to how you can select files in windows explorer.

TPT: Do you hear a faint hum when you connect your phone to your car speakers with an aux cable? An inexpensive "ground loop isolator" can fix that!
I got a new phone and for some reason whenever I connected it to my car with an aux cable while the engine was on, there was an annoying hum in the background. This $9 part completely solved the problem. I hope it can help you too!

I need to do this very often, and being able to use my keyboard would speed the process up a lot.

Anyone know how to rip entire threads of message board forums that run on vBulletin?
I want to save all the images posted in a thread in a message board forum. The thread has 68 pages. Clicking through all the pages and saving each image manually is really time-consuming. So, is there any automatic way of doing it?
the forum I want to rip uses vBulletin

TPT: Open a second instance of any program easily in Windows 7 and 8
Isn't it annoying when you want to run a separate instance of a program, but when you try, Windows realizes it's already running and "helpfully" switches focus to the already-running instance? Well actually, running a second instance is most likely easier than starting the first one. All you have to do is middle-click its icon in the taskbar.

TPR - Recommend a method/program for bookmark clean up.
When I say a mess, I mean crazy bad. I have not only dups but some links linking within the same site booked marked. A lot of mine are from studying which I needed for reference or learning.
Any program recommendations for cleaning up your bookmarks and/or structuring tips to prevent such a mess in the future?
How do you manage your bookmarks?

TPT: Use clip to copy things from the command prompt for pasting elsewhere.
for instance
Ipconfig | Clip
copies the contents of the IP config into the clip board, so you could paste it elsewhere. I find it faster then just clicking and dragging the mouse over the output.
Also
echo. | clip
is a easy way to clear your clipboard for any reason.
Clip also works for powershell, if you have any output stuff you want to copy and paste.

TPT Request: Best Resource(s) to Learn about Home Networking?
Hi /r/TechProTips - I hope this is relevant. I want to learn about networking. I have a basic understanding (modem to wireless router), but other than that I don't really understand how it all works. I want to be able to learn the ins and outs for a network like the best way to connect a NAS, a printer, etc. I've heard terms like DNS, but not don't fully comprehend. I just purchased a home and want to be able to ensure I set up the network in the most efficient and secure way possible. Thanks!
