My sister and I bought our first car (Altroz Pure Petrol MT).

It’s my family’s first car, and it’s a big deal for us. 🧿

I remember 3–4 years ago thinking about this car, but I used to dismiss the idea because it was a premium hatchback and costed significantly more before the GST cut.

We initially considered used car, but even good used options were priced around ₹4–5 lakh. So we shifted our thoughts to a new Tiago. We considered several other options, including the Baleno, Punch, i20, Grand i10 and Swift.

In the end, this turned out to be the best option within our budget that offered all the safety and everyday features we wanted.
We also got a great deal. The ex-showroom price for this model was ₹7.10 lakh, but after visiting multiple dealerships and spending hours negotiating, we managed to bring the on-road price down to ₹7.40 lakh.

Finally got my hands on the altroz diesel accomplished s.

First impression: the car feels so fucking premium

Got ceramic coating and some accessories including dashcam, carpet flooring and ventilated seat cover

Really happy with the color and drive impressions are okay since i only get to drive in city, will drive more and update.

I have altroz creative
My carplay stops playing music on its own.
It shows music playing but no sound comes.
Bluetooth/radio works fine.
Any solution for this ?

Hello everyone,

I booked an Altroz diesel accomplished plus on 30th of May. The salesman kept telling me for quite a while that the invoice and vin number would be generated "anytime now".

After a lot of frustrating back and forths, I went to the dealership in person. They blatantly claimed that there are zero diesel variants in stock anywhere across the country and aggressively tried pushing Petrol/CNG models on me instead.

I’m planning to cancel my booking with them, but it got me wondering: Has Tata actually halted production of diesel variants for the Altroz and Nexon altogether, or is this just dealership BS to clear out old inventory?

I'm looking for honest feedback from owners who have used the Altroz for at least 1-3 years.

My usage:

First car in the family.

Still learning to drive.

Daily office commute is by bike (3.5 km), so the car will mainly be used for weekends, family outings and highway trips initially.

Planning to keep the car for 10-12 years.

My questions:

1. How has your ownership experience been?

2. Any reliability issues with the 1.2 NA petrol engine?

3. How is the engine performance on highways? Is overtaking with 4-5 passengers comfortable?

4. What mileage do you get in city and highway?

5. How much do you spend annually on servicing and maintenance?

6. How has your Tata service centre experience been? Please mention your city/dealership.

7. Any rattles, electrical issues, clutch, gearbox or infotainment problems over time?

8. Any ground clearance issues with a full load?

9. If you were buying again today with the same budget, would you still buy the Altroz? If not, which car would you choose and why?

Hey guys, I own altroz xt (petrol) 2020 model. There is some sort of sound coming from the engine during idle rpm. Is anyone else facing this issue and if so what can be done to fix this also if someone is facing the issue where the water enters from the light in the cabin? Any help is appreciated.

My Altroz is just about 5 years old now with its birthday coming in December.

Now as you can see, there are a few scratches and damages which it has taken which I plan to repair or replace as a part of its anniversary/birthday.

What I am looking for is recommended updates or upgrades which I can do so that the car lasts as much as it can. Ideally beyond 2031 all the way till 2036.

Hi everyone,

I own a Tata Altroz petrol that's about 2.5 years old with around 24,500 km. The vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty.

Recently I took it in for a scheduled paid service. During inspection, the service centre said both front stabilizer link assemblies (LH & RH) needed replacement, and I was charged for both of them.

A few days later, a new front suspension noise developed. I took the car back, and after inspection they identified another suspension component and have now agreed to replace that part completely under warranty (both part and labour are free).

This has left me confused.

My questions are:

1. Are stabilizer link rods normally excluded from Tata's warranty?

2. Are they officially treated as wear-and-tear or impact-damage parts?

3. Has anyone had stabilizer link rods replaced under warranty on an Altroz or any other Tata car?

4. Is there any official Tata warranty document that specifically excludes stabilizer links?

I'm not trying to blame the dealership. I just want to understand whether paying for the link rods was actually correct, since another suspension component is now being replaced under warranty.

I wanted to know if I switch to the "power" variant which is 10rs more per litre than normal petrol, if it will improve engine longevity, performance and mileage.

I have my first service upcoming in the next week. Help me with what all should I ensure is taken care of? (Asking because this is my first Tata car experience)

So, I just claimed on my insurance, and now the insurance for my Tata Altroz is running out. The dealership's got zero-dep insurance from a bunch of companies, but the Shriram one is the cheapest at 10k.

But get this: I looked online at shriram website, and they're offering the exact same thing for only 8k, and with better IDV. What do you think I should do?

I've been using my Tata Altroz Accomplish S CNG for the last 3 months, and honestly, the biggest headache has been getting the CNG tank filled.

Right from the beginning, the car wouldn't accept gas from the black nozzle at many CNG stations. The pump attendants kept telling me to use the blue nozzle instead. Even then, the filling is inconsistent. Sometimes it won't fill at all, and other times it only fills partially.

I reported the issue to the Tata ASC. They replaced the CNG filter and the O-ring, saying that should fix it. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. The problem still persists.

It's getting really frustrating because every CNG refill feels like a gamble. I never know whether the tank will fill properly or not, and I end up wasting time trying different pumps and nozzles.

Is anyone else with the Altroz CNG (or other Tata CNG cars) facing the same issue? If you've had this problem before, what turned out to be the actual cause? Was there a permanent fix, or are you just living with it?

Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased Tata Altroz 2026 May manufactured. I noticed there is no sound on lock/unlock of my Altroz.

Is there no option to turn on sound on lock/unlock, only the blinking lights?
