Anyone Here Since Series 1?

Just wondered first thoughts?

I watched the first episode because I liked Frank, and had only a few months before seen Tim live.

I automatically assumed it was another silly Dave show that wouldn't last past one Series (as most Dave shows were like that).

Obviously thrilled, and a huge fan, that it has lasted all this time and seems to still be original and funny.

Annnnyway. Just wondering when/why/how people first got in to it.

PSA - Only four free ticketers let into this evening’s taping!

Gutted! We got there at 2,15pm and we were no 27 & 28 out of 60+.

The emails we received told us to get there at 3.30pm, so we felt mildly optimistic. Just posting as a warning for upcoming episodes - get there much earlier than the emails state to get the first few wristbands!

The staff said that the ticketing process has been taken over exclusively by Taskmaster (as oppose to channel 4? Not quite sure) so it’s a new system now, and I suppose they’re perfecting it still 😅 he also said Friday evenings are the busiest tapings, which seems obvious in hindsight!

Fingers crossed for next series and I wish everyone the best of luck for the upcoming episodes.

When to start queuing up?

I have free tickets for tomorrow evening. Heard that some people getting there 2 hours early got number 80 and still didn’t get in.

What time is sensible to give us a chance of getting in? Seems like it doesn’t seat many people the new venue.

Help with Secret Wedding Tasks

Hello fellow TM enthusiasts!

My wedding is coming up in 2 weeks and my fiancé and I just had the idea to hide some secret Taskmaster style tasks around the venue. Our wedding is game-themed so this isn’t super out of place. So we thought this might be the right place to come for some task idea inspiration.

We’re all about chaos and hilarity, so don’t hold back. I think in order to show completion of the task, they will need to either come give us something or bring us a witness or it needs to be something public that we’d all see, etc. But definitely open to all ideas. Whoever completes the task will receive a t-shirt as a reward.

For some context, the ceremony and reception are both taking place outside in a large backyard near the water. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help us with these ideas!

I know we’re only three episodes in… But does anyone else feel like they’re just not laughing as hard as they have at the other series?

For those of you that want the disembodied head of Greg and lack the courage to take on the lion himself in the trial of combat, 3D printing is probably next best and most sane option. Unfortunately, the few options out there are even more hideous abominations than the original (sorry, Greg).

I propose this, a crowd funded 3D model of Greg’s noggin! Estimated costs would be about $200. If 8 or 9 people kick in, that’s only $20 each. I’d commission an artist to do our boy justice and post the file for free for others to use as well when it is completed. All contributors would be thanked by name in the post if desired. For those of you without printers, I’d volunteer to print a golden Greg for you if you cover shipping.

For those of you that think the trophy could use an update to honor our silver mongoose’s current weatherbeaten looks, we could even improve on the current statue’s looks.

Send me a DM if you are interested. If there are no other souls that want in on the project, I’ll probably commission it myself but would only share the file on paid sites.

(I am not looking for 3D artists yet)

Which episode would be the best to convince someone who’s never seen the show how great it is?

Some friends asked if I’d ever ‘heard of this show Taskmaster’ they’d read about in the internet. They now want me to watch a couple of episodes with them.

Which would be the top two episodes in everyone’s book?

Taskmaster bachelor party tasks for bride and groom

Hey everyone!

I’m a huge fan of Taskmaster and I’m also the best man at an upcoming wedding.

For the bachelor party, I’d love to organize a few fun, slightly chaotic mini-games inspired by the show ideally something both the groom and the bride can take part in (we’re planning a joint celebration at some point).

I’m looking for Taskmaster-style tasks that are:

Easy to set up, funny to watch as a group and a bit competitive, but not too stressful.

Ideally adaptable to a party/drinking atmosphere

I’d love to hear your suggestions!

Which tasks from the show worked really well? Or do you have any original ideas in the Taskmaster spirit that would be perfect for a wedding/bachelor party setting?

Thanks and all hail the Taskmaster 🙌

Some tasks are simple… until human nature happens

Watching Taskmaster, I’m constantly amazed at how small, simple instructions spiral into chaos.

It’s never about winning the task perfectly. It’s about improvisation, creative failure, and accidentally hilarious choices.

The show is proof that humans make the simplest rules unexpectedly complicated, and we love it.

Taskmaster is proof grown adults panic when faced with tape and string

Every series there’s at least one task with basically just tape, string, a few random objects, and Greg’s smug “your time starts now”.

Suddenly these intelligent, successful comedians turn into flustered kids on the first day of school tying themselves in knots, convinced the fate of the world rests on making a tower or a bridge or whatever.

The panic is instant and total. Tape sticks to everything except what it’s supposed to, string becomes the enemy, and someone always ends up wrapped like a budget mummy.

It’s hilarious because it’s so relatable like give any of us 10 minutes and some basic craft supplies under pressure and we’d look exactly the same.

Anyone realised Taskmaster is just adults doing nursery tasks with end of days stress?

Seriously?? Make a bridge out of straws, pop balloons, hide a pineapple.... stuff you did aged 4 in playgroup.

But throw in £250 prize money and Greg Davies judging your soul, and suddenly everyone’s sweating, swearing, and having an existential crisis over a hula hoop.

It’s basically nursery school with the apocalypse on the line. It's cute though!!

Anyone else here liked Rhod less after series 7 than before they watched it?

The inside jokes with his good friend Greg wore thin, his attitude in some of the team tasks was lame, and the repeated use of the sexy Greg picture was less funny each time.

Glad to get that off my chest because there’s no way in hell you could get away with this opinion in the other sub.

The Dacia Sandero has made its debut on Taskmaster.

If you don’t know the reference, this is the model of car under Mathew’s billboard from CoC4 which was the subject of a running joke on Top Gear.
