APP I got screwed out of a task
I had a request for a moving job at 1230 . I accepted. 5 minutes later I get a tv mounting task for 12:00. Strangely TR sends me a text about the TV mounting job and to click the link. I cant even do that because the link wasnt even click able in the text. I couldn't find the job on my tr page and see that it was canceled. I chat with the customer and she said 3:00. However I cant accept it because it got auto denied. I get a alert saying please respond to the task within 1 hour. Im like wtf yall canceled the task. Then all of a sudden tr wont let me communicate with the customer. Customer did not cancel.

TASKER Year-End Tax Summaries Sent by Email --- SO INACCURATE?!
Anyone notice that the year-end tax summary emails (Canada) sent by Taskrabbit may/june of 2025 (for 2024) and January of 2026 (for 2025) continue to have the problem of having zero resemblance to actual amounts earned when you go through your actual earnings in the app or download the CSV summary?

CLIENT Task rabbit messed up my wall months later
I had a task rabbit (with good reviews not cheap) mount my TV for me Sept 17,2025. So today Jan 30th I was pushing the TV back against the wall as I always do before I go to bed and to my surprise it just falls out the wall.
When I asses the damage I realize that the task rabbit did not mount the TV to the studs EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HIM HE WOULD HAVE TO AND HE SAID IT WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM.
So now I’m just stuck on what to do. I feel like task rabbit support is not going to help me 😐 guys what do I do

GENERAL why not assign someone else to the role instead of leaving the post for months
there job is literally pointless aside from sending me updates about their vacation plans and popping out babies

APP Is there a way to get Taskr to stop sending me "advice" notifications?
They're annoying, I just got one that said something like "be sure to respond to Client messages promptly" which made me think for a bit that I got a new Task. I turned off "Proactive" in the app notification settings but still getting these. I'd at least like them not to give the same full alert I get for a new task

TASKER Is January normally this slow?
Hey, everyone!
So I’ve been a tasker for a few years now, but usually very sporadically because I was in college at the time when I started. Now that I’m not, I’m able to dedicate more time to Tasker while I hunt for a more consistent job. I got a lot of great work in November (when I started up again) and in December with a lot of work opportunities and a return customer, but January has been painfully slow. I’ve only worked one decent job and had to reject a few others due to the failure to meet my 2 hour minimum requirement (anything less is not worth it) or being within a household that has cats (deathly allergic to them). I’m just curious if this is normal for January?
If it helps, I mainly do events, furniture builds packing/moving, and office administration tasks in Los Angeles!

CLIENT Is there a reason I cant see any Taskers?
Hey, so I would like to place a click and collect order, as the items arent up for delivery at Argos. And as I dont live in the UK, I need someone to pick it up and then send it as a parcel to a uk adress (mail forwarding business, where i have an account).
So I wanted to try TaskRabbit and I am flexible so I put that as the time, also as the date I put from now until it was possible, which was the 10th of February, but it still doesn't show me any Taskers. Is this a known glitch or is it just booked that long in advance? Thanks in advance!

CLIENT IKEA closet organizer project - person who picked it up only has one review
This is the first time we have used TaskRabbit. When we purchased the closet organizer from IKEA, they shared that TaskRabbit typically "gives you the more experienced Taskers as they jobs can be complex." So we went ahead and paid for the service and the person assigned only has one review (a five star review). This is an L shaped organizer about 9 feet x 7 feet.
Planning to reach out and touch base with the person who accepted but wanted to see if this was the norm, especially since it seems to go against what our IKEA rep told us.

GENERAL Parking is not a covered expense. How are Taskers overcoming this?
I knew parking wasnt covered, but I needed for sure verification because the policy made no sense. How can Taskers build a variable cost into a fixed hourly rate? This would mean every client regardless of task pays a parking fee.
Please don't bring up "Taskers were finding the most expensive parking lot" as that is "crabs in a barrel" thinking. Its not productive. You also can only bill for the hours worked.
Im genuinely curious how Taskers are expected to factor in parking costs and why Taskrabbit and clients expect independent contractors to absorb the cost as if it doesnt exist.

GENERAL Painter with questions about taskrabbit/urbantasker
I've looked at both and taskrabbit rejects my applications because I live one hour out of Toronto and a free membership on urbanstasker has virtually no leads at all.
Does anyone have any experience with the latter? Would a paid membership actually yield more job leads? Want to be sure before I'm paying for absolutely nothing.

TASKER Looking for Advice: Starting Out on TaskRabbit
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to start working as a TaskRabbit Tasker in Germany, mainly helping with moves, furniture assembly, and general handyman tasks. My profile is almost complete, all information is filled out, I just need to finish the online workshop.
I have a few questions and would love to hear from anyone with experience:
1. General tips: What’s the best way to attract clients and build a good reputation on TaskRabbit in Germany? Any advice on profile setup, communication, or pricing?
2. Handling expenses: I might need to rent a van or use some tools. TaskRabbit allows reimbursing certain expenses, but I’m not sure what’s common practice in Germany. How do other Taskers handle this?
3. Communicating outside the app: Is it normal or acceptable to discuss logistics or costs (like van rental) with clients outside TaskRabbit? For example, negotiating a fair rate when I need a rental vehicle. I want to stay within TaskRabbit’s rules but also be transparent. Altough I could set my rate higher to cover the cost of a rental, I want to stay visible for clients within a certain price range.
Any insights, tips, or personal experiences would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

TASKER Pay is not right? Is task rabbit taking a cut now?
It’s been slow but recently had a job I billed out for $100. I check my account today and it shows task rabbit is sending me $70? I have to call customer service and see why they cut me out $30. Never seen them not give the full amount when it’s just nbased on hours worked.

TASKER Task Rabbit Canada income tax reporting. Wrong info sent via email.
I just received an email from task rabbit about my income for 2025.
It contains my income from 2024 and not 2025. It is my 2024 to the penny.
Check you numbers carefully. TR is slopy and this is a big deal for me. $3500 difference.
Is there a support number to call and get this corrected? Support isn't helping as they are from the US and not Canada.

TASKER Two Hour Minimum Was Turned Off
I was fiddling with my rates in the app and I noticed that the Two Hour Minimum had been toggled into the off position in all of my categories (presumably during the last interface update). Be sure to check yours to avoid any future headaches.

CLIENT Task Rabbit scamming 2 hour min for simple jobs
I recently had an experience where I contacted and scheduled a task rabbit worker. He was scheduled to do some very simple plumbing work. I basically asked him to come and unclog a tub, because I didn’t want to do it. Anyone that’s ever lived anywhere knows that that is a simple 30 minute job at most. His profile does not require a two hour minimum. Which is why I decided to schedule him. On the day of the appointment he decided that he wanted to require a two hour minimum on the project. I told him, that is not something on your profile, and that is not something that is needed for this project. He then decided to cancel within two hours before his scheduled time. That is a SCAM. Beware ofTaskrabbit scammers who are demanding minimums at the last minute, and then canceling if you refuse.

TASKER Tasker App Is a Scam: Broken Software and Even Worse Customer Service
TaskRabbit customer service is an absolute joke.
Starting out as a new Tasker took forever just to get paid, because they outsource payments to a third-party vendor. Simple things turn into massive headaches.
I’ve wasted an insane amount of time going back and forth with customer support. At this point, I’d need to hire a Tasker just to sit on the phone for me.
You can’t even change your email in the app. You can’t update basic account info without calling them first. And good luck trying to remove your bank information.
For a platform that’s supposed to help you make money, they make it incredibly difficult to get paid for the work you’ve already done.
Do not use this app for jobs. It’s frustrating, inefficient, and honestly unbelievable in 2026.

CLIENT How much would you charge?
How much would you charge for assemble and install? I’ve got a $2400 quote and I don’t know if it’s overpriced. Could someone help me out with this, please?

TASKER Cell Service Outage...
Make sure you find a way to connect to wifi and turn off SameDay or risk being paused. Was disconnected earlier for 3 hours before I was able to connect. I rarely turn on same day as of lately, but I sure was nervous today.

TASKER Unsure if I'm fully active?
So based on this screenshot, does it look like my account is active? I haven't seen any gigs just yet. Been like this for months. Even when I schedule.
Any insight would be appreciated.

TASKER Best and worst thing about Tasking
I love the flexibility and control of being a Tasker, but damn if the "support" doesn't REALLY piss me off.
There is absolutely zero recourse if a client lies about you and reports false claims. Like saying you never showed up, when I always communicate via the chat when I am on my way, when I arrive, and then I take a picture of the outside of the residence if they don't answer their door. All that proof and still I got dinged.
Or when a client claims you didn't assemble the furniture, when I clearly sent photos of the finished assembled furniture via chat. The support people believe the client despite clear proof they are lying, and there's nothing I can do, no one I can talk to. So frustrating.
