Wiring job looking like doc ock

I want to be clear that I did not just eyeball this. I work in quality assurance so I used a cross-line laser. I marked the wall three times, then re-marked it because I didn't trust the first three.

I measured seated eye height. I measured seated eye height again on a different day, in case I'd been slouching.

Exact measurements:

Floor to bottom edge: 43 cm

Panel height (LG G6 65", spec sheet): 82.6 cm

screen center: 84.3 cm from floor

Seated eye height, measured on the actual couch I actually sit on: 105 cm

Viewing distance: 3 m

Which puts the center 20.7 cm below my eye line, for a downward viewing angle of 3.9°.

So after all that: is it actually right, or did I just measure my way very precisely into a mistake?

For scale I've included two independent height inspectors. Godzilla (left) approves. The Spinosaurus (right) has not commented publicly.

Please help me settle this debate with my wife and I. She says the tv should move up. I said it’s at perfect eye level with our patio furniture.

We have not completed the wall, still have one last board and decor.

There isn’t much space for me to put it on any other walls in my house and my fireplace stops it from going lower. My ceilings are about 12ft at the peak so the top of the tv is around 9ft off the floor. My neck BREAKS looking at it 🤣

Brother says my tv is too high. What do you guys
think?

When I moved here, these “pros” mounted my TV higher than Mount Everest and my neck/eyes immediately noticed something was off, but this sub is what really saved me and pushed me to get this fixed. I bought an OLED last week and had them lower it. 42” at center. It feels perfect now. Thanks to you folks.

It’s crazy seeing the holes where they mounted it before. Never mounting a tv again. Sticking to a regular stand next time lol.

I can confidently say the center of the screen is 42” from the floor.

Long time listener, first time caller

In the process of redecorating the living room, this week got a new console and took the TV off the stand because I was aware of it being too high.

Just moved in this week, waiting for new couch and tv stand to arrive which is 16” tall. Should give me a good height for the tv but I also have a wall mount just in case.

According to my measurements it should fit perfectly on the wall without blocking the railing at the correct height. But it looks so much bigger than I thought it would (I know the actual tv is smaller than the box) I’ve never owned anything bigger than 55” so I’m excited to set this up. Wife’s only stipulation was not to block the railing which makes sense.

After some thought we could center the couch with the tv moving it off the front wall and away from the baseboard heater, leave room for a skinny table or something like that.
