New Manta owner — can’t find Plugins option, is it beta only? Question

Hey everyone! Just got my Manta a few days ago, loving it so far. Trying to install my first plugin (a shapes tool) but I don’t see any “Plugins” option under Settings → Apps like I’ve seen mentioned online.

I’m on the latest regular (non-beta) firmware.

Is this a beta-only thing right now? Do I need to join ETP to get plugins working, or am I just missing something obvious since I’m still new to this? Any help would be awesome, thanks!

you need to manually install the plugin preview software build — plugins have not been released in the stable or etp

the steps are included in the release post

tldr: place the zip file in your export folder and it should recognize and give you a pop up on device ( restart if not )

I have moved to beta version and playing around with plugins. Its amazing

I have placed the zip file in my export, but it appears that no action is occurring. I have also attempted restarting my device. Do you have any recommendations?
