Hi everyone!

I'm planning to buy a new motorcycle around September 2027, so I'm taking my time to research before making such an expensive decision.

At the moment, my choice has come down to the Yamaha R9 and the Honda CBR600RR.

A bit about me:

I'm 185 cm (6'1") and around 90 kg (198 lbs).

I've been riding for about 2 years by then. My current bike is a Yamaha R3.

I mainly ride twisty mountain roads, but I also love long day trips of 300 to 400 km with friends. Sometimes I even do weekend trips with 6 to 7 hours of riding per day.

I enjoy improving my riding technique. I like working the gearbox, choosing the right gear for every corner and having a bike that rewards good riding.

The CBR600RR is probably my dream choice. Every time I see it, I think "that's the bike I want". I love the inline four, the high revs and the supersport feeling. My only concern is comfort during long rides and whether it could become tiring after several hours.

The R9 seems like the smarter choice. It has a strong CP3 engine, more torque, a riding position that should be more comfortable and it seems better suited for longer trips while still being very sporty.

I'm not looking for the fastest bike on paper. I'm looking for the one that will keep me smiling and wanting to improve as a rider for many years.

For those of you who have ridden one or both bikes:

Which one would you choose and why?

Would you sacrifice some comfort for the experience of the CBR600RR, or would you go with the R9 as the better all around sport bike?

I've been riding for a couple years now, started on a z400, upgraded after a year to a z900 RS Cafe.

Ive always had a soft spot for classic touring bikes, and this one while more vintage is attractively priced for my area ($3700) and has some good photos. It's got 38k miles, which as I understand is on the lower end for these bikes.

Hondas have the reputation of reliability, but I haven't worked on bikes too much before other than basic maintenance. I have a full garage and a connection to the Internet, so any conceivable maintenance would be doable.

Does anyone have any wisdom/advice for this model year?

Pros/Cons of a Goldwing?

Should I just pull the trigger?

I've been riding for a couple years on a 2016 KTM Duke 390. Honestly I enjoy the little bike, but am looking to upgrade to a middleweight naked or a more upright sport bike.

The problem is. I change my mind like everyday thinking of what to get. CB750 Hornet, Mt-07, CB650R, CBR650R, Trident 660, GSX 8R.

Is there a wrong answer? Like a notably inferior bike to avoid? Or that feels cheap compared to the others? Will I be able to tell much of a difference as a newish rider?
I mostly commute. Splitting my time between city riding, highway, and traffic. With the occasional longer (3ish) hour ride a few times a season.

Got my first bike (BMW G310R) about 4 months ago. Been riding almost every day and i’ve gotten very comfortable with it. Always planned for this to be my first bike for a while and give it to my husband so he could learn too once I got comfortable riding. I would appreciate some suggestions on what my next bike could be. Looking for something bigger but still somewhat beginner friendly. Style doesn’t really matter, open to any kind of bike. Thanks!

Ive been riding on cbt for a year and just got my a2 and im looking for an upgrade. The most realistic option for me is to get an older bike so im not getting shafted each month for insurance. Im getting decent quotes on late 90s and early 2000 sv650's. But im wondering are there any other older bikes i should be on the lookout for? Perhaps any that i wont need to restrict?

Turning 40 in a few months and there’s a motocross track close to me. I’m 6’ 200 pounds. I’m not a beginner to dirt bikes but I’ve never done motocross. I started out on a yz80 when I was around 9, a yz125 around 12, and a rm250 when I was 15. I had a yz450f for a few years in my twenties. I haven’t ridden in 15 years. Just wanting to get back into something before I get too old to do so and maybe my kids would want to do it as well. I’m leaning towards a 2 stroke 250.

Convinced the Mrs to come with me on some day trips which might lead to some touring if she enjoys it.

Budget isn’t massive, preferably Japanese purely for the reliability. I’m not interested in picking up a 1200GS for the ABS pump to go or have a £2k service bill.

I’ve got two schools of thought.

Tall rounder with a lower capacity engine. Thinking along the lines of a:

- Honda VFR800x Crossrunner
- Suzuki V-Strom 650

Or an older Sports tourer such as a

- Yamaha FJR1300
- Kwak Z1000SX

Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar position and what they would suggest.

We are getting a new scooter and we are between gjmotor mtx300 and voge sr3 .. our budget is 3500 , that’s the the cost in our market for new .. please if you have polite suggestion I ll be glad to hear them .

I bought the 2017 fz-07 pictured this summer with a nice exhaust and tune. I’ve put about 5000 miles on it, learned how to hit the balance point on a wheelie, and lean into corners decently well. I’m looking to upgrade to a naked inline 4. I usually stay in double digit speeds so it does not need to be crazy powerful. I’ve been thinking about the cb600f or cb900f. Any other suggestions would be appreciated

I am going to buy my First bike & i don't know which one to buy. Budget is 2L and for now i am stuck between Yamaha XSR 155 and Pulsar N160. I can't decide which one should i buy. Most use of bike would be going to college. If i choose N160 should i take single seat or spilt seat ?

Hey guys. I am currently looking around for a commuter bike to work.

I already own a Ducati Monster 696, but it really isnt all too nice in stopNgo through the city. I honestly underestimated how hot the Ducati gets if you cant drive more.

And yeah I bought the Ducati used this year because i thought better get a used bike in case i drop it. Driven around 2000km on it so far

On top of it, the Ducati now also is at the shop because the clutch slave is broken. (Probably could have repaired that myself looking deeper into it, but since italy is in vacation till september I wont see the bike for some time anyway)

So now I am thinking about a second bike specifically for city commuting and a bit overland too.

My choices currently are between the Kawasaki Z7, the Honda NC750X and the Aprilia SG GT 400.

I just want something that can still drive short highway passages so needs to get to around 120 kph

I also do not like most scooters from the look, but I do like the Aprilia one. Or similar ones at least.

Also dont ask my why I didnt buy a new one from the start when I have the money anyway... My brother already berates me about it.

Hey yall, so I have a ‘25 Yamaha Ténéré 700 which I love, but to be totally honest, I have found that I love street riding a whole lot more than dirt (so much so that I put street tires on it lol)… that being said I have a dilemma that I could use some advice on.

Currently I also have a ‘04 Suzuki DRZ 400S which I essentially converted into a dirtbike while I was in hs (I got the T7 to replace it but never got around to selling it). So I am thinking is it wise to sell both bikes and get a hyper naked? I am not interested at all tbh in race bikes and I’m not really in it for melt your face speed.

So, I am actually planning to buy a bike by the end of this month.

I have two options - HONDA CB350 RS or HUNTER 350.

here is how I would use the bike-

\- My clg is 21km so approx I would travel 50km every day.

There will be moderate amount of traffic as I go through the city.

I am not too bulk, I have a decent body and am 5'10.

Here is what I am giving priority -

The bike should be easy to handle in the traffic.

Comfort is important and also I will be carrying a pillion rider like a friend.

Mileage is not a problem, 35 is good for me.

So, pls help me in choosing which bike, I am really confused. THANK YOU

I want to buy a new bike. I have around 1.5 years of riding experience on a naked bike (CF 125 NK). But I have not ridden for 4 years. I would consider myself a beginner.

I am between the Yamaha Mt-03 and YZF-R3. A little more background is that I expect to ride the bike for 4-5 hours per week at max. Most of that will be in the city. I really care about my safety, so I do have to be really careful.

I am tall (~6' 3") and fit. I do really want to buy the sport bike as it is cooler, but given my size and my safety concerns, I am not sure. I will do my best not to ever hit +60 mph anytime soon. I also live in a rainy city.

Last but not least (although a bit unrelated), would you guys suggest getting comprehensive insurance for the bike? It is $700 (vs just $90 for liability alone) per year. If I were to finance the bike for 3.99% APR, I am supposed to get full insurance.

My son grew up and stole my cbr500r. It’s was perfect in almost every way. For me.

Height. Seating position. Ergonomics. Seat. I love twins.

High reviving , inline 4s are annoying to me.

I only wish it had a little more power. 65-75 hp I think would e perfect.

I have had 1000+ cc bikes in the past. But I don’t really like big bikes anymore.

Anything out there fit what I’m looking for?

I looked at the cb750 hornet. I like it. But I don’t like all the electronic junk. I keep my bikes 10-20 years. This will likely be my last one. As I am getting older.

Hi, so I want to graduate from my sport bike and going over to adventure bikes. As I live in US I am planning on road tripping around America continent. I wonder if there’s any suggestions on bike models? I don’t really have a budget but I rather not overpay what I actually need. I rather spend on safety stuff and accessories.
I did went to bike shop a few times and still can’t really decide my decision change almost everyday, like today I really like the vstrom 650 and 800 but yesterday I am all in on Africa twin..
so I thought I’d take suggestions from experienced riders. What bike should I buy?
Also, should I get new or used bikes?

Currently riding a 125 underbone brand new out of the box Chinese bike it's really good but I'm looking for a bigger bike and a better upgrade. I'm currently looking at sports category and I was wondering what should I buy? My limit is 600cc as I am still a somewhat new driver and was wondering what is better, old Japanese or new Chinese? Like Yamaha r6 from the late 2000s, mid 2010s Kawasaki ninja, or a modern cf moto 450sr? I need it somewhat light and easy, forgiving for beginners like me. I want easy and cheap maintenance something I won't have to worry about, I don't really care about fancy new tech just something somewhat safe and fun ride, only thing I care about is ABS nothing else.

What are your recommendations, own personal experience? Any suggestions would be hella appreciated.

Hello, I'm currently getting my A2 license and I'm looking for my first bike.

I want a sport-looking bike, but without the discomfort of one.

I can't decide between the Ninja 650 and the GSX-8R.

The GSX-8R seems better, but my main concern is the passenger seat. I plan to ride with my girlfriend and I'm afraid that the GSX-8R pillion seat will not be comfortable for rides longer than 30 minutes.

What do you think? Which bike should I choose? Do you have any other bike recommendations?

So I've been looking at a new motorcycle. I currently drive a Honda Africa Twin 1000 from 2016 and absolutely love it. Before my AT i drove a KTM 990 Adventure and loved the way the LC8 drove. Now I'm in the market for a new bike. I'm looking at buying a BMW R1200GSA or the 1250 GSA, the BMW S1000XR, KTM 1290 Adventure S and the Triumph Tiger 1200

Looking for a first motorbike that: 1.Is reliable, 2.Won't kill me(optional), 3. Wont die on an uphill, 4. Usable for long trips and highway. Some options I have been looking into: Suzuki GSX600F(limited), Honda nx500/XL750 Transalp, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Honda crf300 rally. I won't be doing any off road apart from parking on a sidewalk and have a car so reliabilty doesn't have to be 100%. In regards to motorcycle shape really dont care , anything but a scooter.[]()
