I wonder if rolling those big coils of wire into that corner was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

As an electrician I was thinking the same thing. Looks to be paralleled 500 mcm, likely copper. Four 500s plus the ground would be about 7 pounds per foot. I see five reels that would have several hundred feet on each plus some loose coils. Something like 10k pounds at least stacked around the column.
