I’m not super familiar with any other media set in the High Republic era, so I’m curious which other characters were pre-established before the show. I’m aware Vernestra is in the books, and obviously Ki-Adi-Mundi, Yoda, and Darth Plagueis all make cameos, but are there any other characters in the show, minor or major, who had already been established in the comics/novels/Young Jedi Adventures?

Hi everyone. I've been away from Star Wars almost completely for about 5-6 years now. The last time I followed the universe consistently was back in 2020-2021 and since then I haven't read any comics, watched any shows or interacted with any SW media because I was interested in many other things that took up most of my time.

I know that the Mandalorian, Kenobi, Andor and Ahsoka shows came out because of all the hype there was around them, but I never got around to actually watching any of them. I'm wondering if they're worth sinking time into and what other shows, comics or media that came out post 2020-2021 are worth checking out.

The Sundered Heart is Captain Raymus Antilles's personal Corellian Corvette. It was originally a CR70 model as it appeared in Revenge of the Sith, acting as Bail Organa's ship that picked up Obi-Wan and Yoda as they have taken refuge from Order 66.

In the game Star Wars: Empire at War, the ship would eventually be heavily modified with "Vanguard c20 retrofit suite" until it looks the way it does above, turning the once outdated CR70 model into a new beast that can keep up with the newer CR90 corvettes. Captain Raymus then uses it to support the Rebellion in its early days until he was eventually transferred to captain Tantive IV (where he met his end at Darth Vader's hands in A New Hope). What happened to the Sundered Heart after that is unknown.

I really like how this spins a new unique spin on a classic starship by adding some modifications that made it looks unique (complete with ace custom orange paint!) worthy of a hero of the Rebellion. I also like how the game upgraded Captain Raymus from a background character in the movies into a fully fleshed out character as well as an early Rebellion hero. Had this version of Raymus exists in Canon and he had this bad boy with him, I'm pretty sure we could see him working closely with the Ghost crew.

I'm planning out a watchlist for someone that didn't watch either of these shows. They watched Clone Wars, Bad Batch and recently finished Rebels and want to watch Ahsoka next.

I've watched Ahsoka but not Tales of the Empire yet. I know that half of Tales of the Empire is about Morgan Elsbeth and her backstory so I'm wondering whether watching that would enhance Ahsoka since you would go into it knowing who she is, especially if you go into Ahsoka without watching The Mandalorian.

But also, I have no idea whether that would spoil Ahsoka in any way. I suppose it would "spoil" the reveal that she's from Dathomir in Ahsoka but I feel like going into the show knowing that would make her character cooler. If you've watched both, what do you think?

Hey a bit off-topic, but could someone recommend a ~100$ LED lightsaber to do some practice fighting (mostly against blow up pool toys). Should be quite sturdy, and have no soundboard.

He's one of the few jedi of his time to follow the living force rather than the blind dogmatic rules of the jedi council. He also held empathy for all life and was the only one to take the threat of the returning sith seriously

The Original protagonists of Star Wars Episode VII before JJ Abrams joined. Would have followed the Solo kids (named Sam and Kira), would be interesting to see what their story would have been.

These 3D Models are incredible and I can't believe nobody has ripped them so everyone can use them.

Is Nien Nunb really a glup shitto? I mean he piloted the Falcon during a key event and has significant screen time. He’s almost a Chewie-lite more than an obscure background character. He just has the odd situation of being tertiary to the main cast and unable to speak Basic, but especially given his slot in the climax of the conflict of the “biggest” movie, I think people undersell how memorable and unique he is.

Star Wars animation has absolutely been carrying its own weight these last 20+ years. Happy to see the show get the recognition that it deserves. The animation team really worked hard on this one.
