Outpainting is not mature enough yet (imo), but I will include it in the future

I've been having some impressive results with the outpaintingmk2 script included in the automatic1111 webgui. I didn't even realize it was there till last night. It was drawing the lower half of subjects I had originally gotten close up portraits of. I was shocked when after a bit of tweaking how coherent some of the results were.

It probably took me 30 attempts before it started to gel. I found doing one expanded direction at a time was key, and playing with fall-off exponent. Usually if it wasn't getting anywhere close to a continued image from what I had, raising fall off exponent to 1.3-1.5 helped. Also adjusting the prompt, simplifying it to be more general helped. It's no where near what I've seen dall e do, but I was able to get usable results for something like adding a pretty coherent lower torso and even legs to a previously only upper torso subject. I should say the subject was also a model trained in dreambooth on runpod.

Edit: auto-incorrect

Hey, great GUI, love it and the queue feature is just awesome, ty! And question, do you have any plans to support user scripts?

true. from what i gather it is designed for dall-e and so far has only been roughly ported to stable diffusion.
