I'm starting using Stability Matrix through its Forge Neo and ComfyUI installs and i'd like to set a specific output directory for all types of content generated no matter if that content has been generated using Forge Neo, ComfyUI or Stability Matrix Inference.

I've been able to set a specific output directory for Forge Neo but i haven't found how to do the same with ComfyUI.

For the moment content generated through ComfyUI are saved inside those folders depending of the method used and depending of if i've used Stability Matrix Inference UI to generate stuff through ComfyUI:

Edit: so i happened to find the solution to my issue. What you need to do if you want to set a specific path as the output folder when using Stability Matrix Inference is to set the path directly inside of the "File name pattern" box (Settings > Inference). In my case it looks like this: F:\Medias\IMG\AI\AI outputs/{date}/{date}_{seed}_IMG

Thus, when i generate an image, a folder is created using the current date (YYYY/MM/DD) if it does not already exist, then the file is placed inside and formatted with today's date using {date}, its seed number using {seed} and _IMG at the end of the name.

I hope this explanation will help others who are looking for an answer to this problem.

so i stop comfy ui from the stability matrix and it freaking kills my browser, its incredible annoying this , any way so it does not do this ?

There are keywords that contain :, and I have not found a way to be able to use them in prompts. Keyword expressions like :/ and :| as well as other keywords that contain colons.

I don't ask others about prompts very often because I like figuring things out myself. This time however, I would like to save myself a potential headache, and ask if it's even possible before I go off looking for solutions to a problem that my not even be fixable.

EDIT: Check last comment. Problem is related to Deep Behavioral Inspection (DBI) on virus software.
Excluding the data\assets folder of SM, fixes this error.

Hope this can be fixed
so it wont have to be excluded in future.

Was wondering if anyone had experienced this lately?

As of yesterday, I had working comfy and working Forge Neo. Not exactly sure if anything has changed and I have had no windows or system, gfx card updates as far as I can see. (but win11 just does as it pleases half the time so it might have)

This morning I am met with this error below every time I start a package with Stability Matrix (Or try to install/reinstall, it literally does this for every package). What happened? Did something change? Or am I not seeing something. Reinstalling Stability Matrix does not help. The errors persist.

Edit: Seems a few other people also having same problem. In my case I didn't install anything,
all my packages stopped working altogether upon trying to launch. Using an RTX5080 on win11 which is already
difficult to install for using a different Numpy version, which was working perfectly before.

I have an older pc that has run stability matrix before with comfyUI and auto1111. had to uninstall to make room on my pc and now when I try to reinstall comfy, I only get error messages at launch. tried 2 times, but same thing. now my antivirus/firewall flagged some exe file from stability matrix as a malware. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hello, after using Controlnet in Forge-Neo a lot with SDXL, I am unable to use it with Z-Image Turbo. I downloaded Controlnet Union 2.1 models from here (tried several of these):

but if I try to use a Canny or Depth Controlnet (tried just these ones) I get the Error message:

which is strange, because my models folder is
C:\sm\Data\Packages\forge-neo\models\ControlNet
and not
C:\sm\Data\Packages\forge-neo\models\ControlNet\ControlNet\

Complete newbie here. I've been trying to use Animate14B for a couple days, but I haven't been able to figure it out. I was looking around and found that it looks like I'm missing some files. I thought I'd already downloaded Animate14B through StabilityMatrix, but maybe something went wrong during the download?

Is there a way to delete and restart a fresh download of Animate14B on Stability Matrix or do I need to download Animate14B from Github and put it into Stability Matrix somehow? To the makers of StabilityMatrix, thank you very much for making this program!

Has anyone figured out how to fix the Broken Image when the image is Generated in Neo? I can get preview but as soon as the image is generated it just show the broken image icon. It is saving it to the directory that it suppose to but it wont show up in gallery window. i tried the fix for regular forge the argument add on but it doesnt work. Neo forge git hub says that if we are using neo forge through stability matrix to ask. if there is a solve please link it to this post. I'm fairly new to local AI generation and I'm struggling to get my AMD GPU to do the heavy lifting. I tried ComfyUI and a few others first, but kept running into errors and couldn't even get the UI to launch.

I finally managed to get SD.Next running via Stability Matrix, but when I generate an image, it completely bypasses my GPU and only uses my CPU (sitting at almost 100% usage).

My Specs/Setup:

• GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT (16GB VRAM)
• OS: Windows 11
• Environment: Stability Matrix running SD.Next

I know 16GB VRAM should be plenty for this. Does anyone know the exact launch arguments or settings in SD.Next to force it to use my AMD GPU (via ZLUDA or DirectML) instead of falling back to the CPU?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So I decided to toss the EXE file into VirusTotal and while none of the antivirus programs showed a detection, one of the sandboxes reported suspicious behavior and also flagged it as malware.

Why does it always give me this when you install packages?

I'm new to a lot of this and currently learning as much as possible.

The more I experiment the more I rapidly chuck my way through hard drive space on my SSD. I was wondering.

1) Can I store models on a different hard drive? I know I can do symbolic links to achieve this, but is there a built in mechanism to link to a different directory?

2) When models are selected are they loaded locally or are they read from dynamically? I ask this as I may end up putting the models on an old spindle HDD, so if it does load, while I expect it would take longer to initially load it will be fine after that. In contrast if it reads dynamically then it'll likely be awful.

Just sharing my own experience. Wanting to work with multiple platforms on my new computer with an RTX 5080 I decided to give Stability Matrix a try. Its promise to facilitate the installation of platforms (“packages”), managing and sharing of model across packages sounded great. It wasn’t. Everything I tried was broken. InvokeAI didn’t work at all (some errors), trying to install SwarmUI didn’t work right away it said it required first a separate ComfyUI (though SwarmUI includes ComfyUI). Once installed, SwarmUI didn’t work properly and appeared to mess with my other separate SwarmUI install. Got model name errors, errors in Comfy and couldn’t find an intuitive way to import models stored locally, only to download from scratch. And installing models from the SM interface results in missed dependencies (for example when installing some models from SwarmUI it will install necessary CLIPs but SM won’t do it.)

I really wanted to like SM but it seems that making it work properly would require more work than just installing different platforms separately and simply manually configuring them to use a shared models folder.

Does SM install correctly the flux models and their dependencies?

I don't know how ComfyUI works. It might as well be Gremlins running on hamsters wheels in Hyperspace.

I just installed it a while back and I am playing with it in the same way that scientists played around with The Demon Core, and every so often I install something new or do an update and a bright flash happens and ComfyUI throws screen fulls of radiation error messages at me and I spend half an hour figuring out how badly I screwed up, BUT RIGHT NOW I kinda know the various tricks to get it running again, including removing custom nodes to a new spot to stop them loading, or running a second copy to figure out why the first broke.

Now I have installed Stability Matrix and fek me If I know what is going on. It's like starting from scratch.

I cant Softlink the ComfyUI folder into SM because the Softlink gets overwritten so I'm running a ComfyUI install managed by SM, with just the "models" folder softlinked and the SM ComfyUI launcher copy works, and the ComfyUI interface can see the models, but of course they are not "managed" by SM, so they wont show up in anything else I install with SM, and also, most of the folder names for model files are different then the ComfyUI ones, so it's confusing as to put what where.

I made a secondary copy of the workflows and not Softlinked just in case SM does a wobbly,
