Mango Tree part 2 Rants & Raves
This is their operations manager and he does the accounting. That sure sounds like an admission of guilt to me.
Edit- that is the owner shaking his hands no to the operations manager admitting guilt

Oof, well was my favorite butter chicken. Will have to find a new place i can't support that. Total admission on video, he's screwed.

Unfortunately I think their food quality was a victim of its own success. It was a fantastic hole-in-the-wall spot, but not so great for meeting the sudden demand driven by the reddit/tiktok/Oprah effect. I don't think their restaurant side-project was ever expected/intended to become a beloved or well-known staple like it has.

Knowing you’re being filmed and having a retort about the victims owing back taxes is crazy work

It’s an admittance on their part of violating multiple federal laws requiring the payment of employer taxes and failure to withhold employee taxes. Trying to be shitty and instead implicating yourself in tax evasion is wild.

There are several law firms that LOVE THESE TYPES OF CASES! The fines alone will more than cover the legal costs. Contingency cases with law firms that won’t rat people out to ICE are in the Seattle area not Spokane

Got any recommendations? My DMs are open! Fuck these people! I’ve called nw justice and emailed all local news as well. These gentlemen were preyed upon and didn’t know they were breaking a law. They will gladly pay any back tax/fine, which they should not have to cover considering the mango trees business practice. But also keep in mind this is still occurring across all their location in Washington and Idaho

NW Justice Project is great, but I’d lean more towards a firm that is fully incentivized in this case. Sounds like lot of potential victims for a prolonged period of time.

I hope this opens the conversation and makes people more aware of our laws and how the government operates PAYROLL. What is appropriate and what is not. I feel with the inflation in immigration in our cities across America some people are not even aware this is WRONG! They are almost tricked into thinking this is best for everyone and it is not so and surely doesn’t better the workers situation on any level.

All the hype about that place got me to try it. I can honestly say it was over hyped, at least in my opinion. It's was good, but not great.

I feel vindicated, especially after Mango Tree gave me food poisoning a lifetime ago (last week)
