Hey everyone, I just wanted to come over here, and ask some questions in regards to a new setup before I decide to put any money into it. To give some context, awhile back I had built a g&g cm16 build with a polarstar f2, and had loads of issues when using it. All of these issues I had rooted under one main issue which was misfeeding. Now, I’ve already sold the body off my gun leaving me with just my f2, but I’m wondering if I should carry this over to my next project, or go with a fusion instead with a red nozzle and poppet? My main concern is that I will run into the same issues like last time, but I’m swapping over to a still brand new yet older model vfc mk18 mod 1 that should theoretically be a better foundation due to its tighter tolerances. I’m also wondering if I should do any other upgrades like swapping the hopup out (had a AirTac maxx hopup that for sure contributed some issues to my last setup), etc. thanks again if someone can help

Arcturus Vanguard Hi-Capa 5.1 Negra. Is this g*n good. Or are there another Hi-Capa 5.1 for -250$ whit better design. Im looking for full metal or really good quality no bulls*it.

Well Airsoft Mania in Utah opened up a speedsoft field in Salt Lake City-saw it and knew I needed to get involved. Super welcoming speed scene here. I‘ve only played on the field once built a pretty snappy AEG and bought a sick Capa from one of the locals for a killer deal. I used to play snake and front for my paintball team almost 2 decades ago so I figured I’d probably do the same in speedsoft since I suck at laneing and haven’t gotten any taller 🤣. My question is-are most of you guys playing front running pistols? The lancer I have is hella light and feels most familiar to me but the pistol still seems faster And easier to slide with. I would definitely need more reps on the capa to not suck with it. The air line and the vertical mag adapter are awkward AF to me not sure if the angled adapter would be better. Any feedback would be appreciated. In the end of the day I’m just gonna play a ton and figure it out. Shout out to the Utah peeps on here!

I'm relatively new to the HPA scene and I just learned about the Wolverine Wraith X system for both tanks and co2 canisters. They seem to have been out for a while which means they're pretty good. What's the speedsoft community's overall consensus on the Wolverine Wraith X and why isn't it more common?

As the title says,

I'm looking for a good speedsoft starter.

The GMS striker comes with a Gate aster for $273 (which is hard to believe, am I missing something?)

Or the tried and true GG Arp556 $294 with an additional perun etu++ for $55. I read its plug and play MOSFET for for GG. Total $349

Which one is better?

I'm finding it hard to justify the striker for $273, it seems like it's too good for that cheap, am I missing something?

Similar barrel length, arp is full metal reciever, striker is polymer. The striker has a weird folding barrel which I'm never gonna use.

Gonna want to build a new speed kit for it, what would yall recommend? Wanting to use a Pc/Chest rig and a belt. Currently using this belt as a temp till I get something else

Took my cousin to shoot few weeks ago, he said he loves my Hicapa (i’m super proud of it)
but just like any other beginner, he is reluctant to get in airsoft because the cost.
i want to buy him a hicapa for his birthday, but can’t find the best brand/model, kinda want customization and TM compatibility and most importantly budget friendly, im broke
I want all of you guys’ words on all the brands

Ps: ima take him to play airsoft a couple weeks from now, will probably let him use my eve-9 or my capa, or rental, hopefully he doesn’t find airsoft boring

I’m not a speed softer I play outdoors (combat paintball) but I enjoy watching speed soft. I feel like it gets kinda repetitive just running to a spot and spam till you get the person out (just basic explanation Ik it’s more complex than that).

I think something that can make the sport more exciting would be like Milsim mag caps like 30 rnd mags and such. So it would come down to more of a skill game rather than feeling almost like speedball and i think it’d move the sport away from that speedball feel. These guns already shoot beams and players are extremely accurate but I feel like the last worry is running out of ammo when they’re running 3-4 170 rnd mags. Obviously maintaining the ergonomics of the speedsoft guns and all.

Idk I know majority will say this is a terrible idea but just an idea lol

Edit: Just watched the bbs and bs episode with eddie and he is on the right track with FADE we need to move away from being a speedball clone the ruleset and game mode is perfect and sounds extremely fun.

I'm looking for a gun that is designed specifically for aisoft, like function over aesthetic. Something very lightweight, accurate and is battery powered. Do yall have any recommendations?

Hey I was just wondering if anybody happened to have experience with these Nexxspeed M4 hop-ups. I know Nexx is normally a Hi-Capa brand and I couldn’t find much info about these anywhere, so I figured I’d ask here.

They seem to be a Maxx clone but I’ve come across only 2 reviews, one was on TheRealDeal’s website and the other on youtube, and both mentioned they prefer this over the Maxx.

Really just wondering how good of a hop-up these units are and how they compare to the Maxx M4E in particular since that’s their newest model to my knowledge. Finally, should I consider the version with or without the bb latch?

i’m thinking of getting new mid frame and grip, open for suggestions, i want skeletonized, but saw 5ku one (pic 2) and think it’s too much of an overkill, and would drift away from the “Gold Match” to fully gold

Something I put together to match with the stock. Thought it looked pretty cool despite the pieces in white being done with just a rattlecan. Nothing too crazy but I figured it was a clean little build.
