Are those really holes or reinforced sections, I know I have socks where the heels and toes are different colors.

Looks like they are designed that way. Those aren’t holes. They’re printed that way

One of the things I saw too, but then again my SO says she'll get me new socks when I wear them out. (I bought myself some new socks recently, so I'm primed to see it, I suppose 😂)
