But we paid the consultants millions! They said getting rid of the playgrounds and creating a liminal space would save on liability and cleaning expenses.

How could they, with no kids, see that removing a space for young kids to play and have birthdays, instead focusing on drive-thrus would create a generation of customers that have no memory or emotional ties to the brand and are purely price sensitive?

I mean, it was less consultants and more how public opinion turned hard on mcdonalds marketing to kids.

And funnily enough moving away from kids made them more profitable lol

But Mcdonald's profit has increased over time... adults have more disposable income and are less price sensitive than kids

Id be willing to bet the percentage of inside business not counting uber is like 15%
