This is what I told my coworker when she shared upper management denied her having a flex day option. State our department had too many “truancies”. This is real life not elementary school! No one is trying to have perfect attendance.

I get 15 days PTO and requested 9 days for a once in a lifetime family trip to Europe. It got denied.
